Redline 360c's poor ramp-up and arrow flipping

So two problems that were super obvious from this weekend's test were the Redline 360c's poor ramp-up and late/no arrow flipping. Instead of telling you, I figured a video would do a better job illustrating the issue.

First off, here's a ramp-up demo driving towards the radar gun. You'll hear the signal come and go and not ramp up smoothly. You'll also notice me drive past the radar gun and the arrow never flips back.


Next up is an arrow flipping comparison with the R7, V1 Gen2, Max 360c, and Redline 360c. As you can see, the other detectors all change direction very quickly. The RL360c eventually changes direction this time, but way way later than everyone else.


Update: Here's another comparison clip as requested by @OBeerWANKenobi. This time we drive into the radar gun the main direction. It's a different RL360c run than in the rampup demo clip above, but the arrow doesn't flip back in this pass either.

Wow, that might be one of the worst CO ramp-ups I've seen since maybe the Whistler XTR-690 original firmwares before "Rev C"

Arrow flipping is interesting. The Uniden and Max360 seem to do the best, and the V1G2's new design seems to result in more arrow lag than I'd like. But wow, the RL360c...

It really feels like they rushed the product out the door. They had to have known about these flaws....

The poor rear horn performance (even being outperformed by the front-only Redline-O in the Red Barn test) and poor arrow switching are likely related. I wonder if they forgot to power the rear LNA? Or are not setting the gain properly?

If I had that for a real world encounter with the RL360c I would have said it was I/O or quick trigger not constant on, something is way wrong with that ramp up... The arrow flip was bad too, not sure how that was released with that performance.

I love this video for so many reasons. It proves I am not crazy. This is EXACTLY what was confusing the hell out of me.

This is really sad, it's like Escort outsourced software development for this model to a different company which did not know how to properly adjust ramp up and arrow flipping because they were not the developers for 360c...

Wow, what a pathetic way to waste $800 bucks.

Hookers and blow would be money better well spent.

And the arrows...Wow...That's just embarrassing....

Reminder: The R7 is $300 less and seems to be "noticeably" better, despite what Escort wants to brag in their livestream.

Definitely all the same of what I have seen....Crushed my memories of my old RedlineO ramp up when testing the R360C....Never have I experienced such a pathetic ramp up.....

Arrow Transition

Did not post any videos of it because the R360C placement was not as good as the others....But as it was the ranking was easy

Ramp up I preferred

Will prefer the V1G2 ramp up the best if updates can make it more urgent especially on some guns....In other words, more than 4 bars before the kill zone....

I'll wait for updates to the problems before I put down $800 during these crazy times. I have faith in them though , but it might take a while.

That ramp-up is bizarre... I knew it was bad from initial comments in the forum, but now that I've seen it in the video is worse than I thought.

Lol this is definitely a case where a video is better than words. And this coming from someone (no offense @Vortex :D) who HATES watching Youtube videos for something I can read about....
