Caveat #1: No such thing as a stupid question, right? Well, I'm pushing my luck around here lately I believe, oh well :)

Caveat #2: I am NOT trying to make this a "V1 vs ____" thread. But, I will need to reference other products.

Here goes: On other detectors/apps (E.g. Escort and Uniden products), I could run a detector at three volumes:
1) Alert volume
2) AutoMuted volume - detector alerts but at a quieter setting after a set amount of time but keeps alerting
3) Totally silent mute (E.g. a GPS lockout)

On the V1G2 with V1Driver, I believe there are only two available settings - either full-blast setting #1, and any suppressions (whether time or locked-out) are at the #2 muted volume. Is that correct?

If you're game to hook up to JBV1-android or V1driver- Apple, you can have those and about 10 other options.

I use V1Driver. But I think you can only get two volume settings - not three. I hope I'm wrong - if so, tell me how!

Muted Volume can be any level you want by adjusting Muted Volume. You can also have it silent by disabling Mute to Muted Volume in V 1Connection app.

I think they renamed or removed one other option I don’t see or recall the exact name. But it affected the bogey counter tone level (which you can also set behavior on).

Please pardon my ignorance of V1Driver (have an Android phone), but doesn't that still leave one with only two of the three volumes (i.e., regular alert volume or totally muted)?

You can count them any way you like. It’s somewhat apples and oranges.

V1 G2 allows the user to set 6 muted levels (analog control on G1) as well as silence. And an option of Audible or not on Bogey Counter changes.

And K-mute on G1 (Logic mode on G2) also is somewhat part of the mix of what level you’ll hear.

I think the concern V1 is lacking in someway is a bit silly. I was always frustrated with Escort that you had no control over the AutoMute level. Which I would want to be zero.

I'm not asking if it's lacking. I'm not saying it's good or bad.

I'm simply asking: can V1G2 when paired with V1Driver alert at two, or three, volume levels?

V1Driver doesn’t change what the V1 can do regarding mute volume.
