I do a semi regular drive that takes me down 95 through Baltimore and DC (495). During the MD/DC portion of this trip, the R7 alerts to ~5 speed cameras that clearly don't exist. In fact I don't think I've ever had it alert to a speed camera that was real. (for RLCs it seems fairly accurate)
Let me preface this by saying, as an R7 owner I obviously hope I'm wrong.. but....
Unless there is some memory they have hidden away not currently in use for this future purpose, I don't think it has enough memory to do auto-lockouts properly.
You basically need to store every K band encounter...
I think the answer to this is no but figured I'd ask anyway. They setup a K band speed sign near my house recently, but removed it a week later. Is there any way for me to go to the spot it used to be and clear any lockouts stored for that area even if the signal is no longer present?
Does anyone own a 360C (or other variant, Bel, Cobra, original 360, etc) on the latest firmware, as well as a radar source to test for the presence of the sleeping bug, who can confidently say that their detector does not suffer from this problem?
Trying to see if we can prove the problem only...
A recent post in the "External Links" section made me want to dig this vid up, which I believe is the first video showing a VPR gun being jammed (DALA).
That jammer is so damn powerful it looks like a third headlight when it starts firing back.
With MRCD/MRCT speed cameras becoming more prevalent in North America it may be time to investigate the use of radar horn extensions to improve detection.
If you are not familiar with the concept, these horn extensions usually mount onto a remote radar detector antenna and can greatly improve...
ECCTG's methodology for doing a head to head jammer comparison has in the past been as follows:
- Install Jammer A on test car
- Test Jammer A
- Remove Jammer A
- Install Jammer B in the same location that Jammer A was installed
- Test Jammer B
The idea is to keep the variable of...
STiR 2.5.8 RDR off vs V1C segmented Ka 34.7 3 Runs 3 Vids
STiR 2.5.8 RDR off vs V1C USA Mode Ka.Guard off...
STi-R and Redline Both 2/5/8 RDR Off
A third run was done consistent with the previous two, except the Redline...
Here is a google translate of the changes:
[ITB-100HD]. (Ver 2.1) firmware
IPass Black Series would like to thank you for the favorite.
ITB-100HD Firmware Ver 2.1 has been upgraded to the latest version.

The ITB, Blackvue, and Whistler SE series (also the Cheetah GPS mirror) all seem to use the same power connector. I realized this today when I tried plugging my ITB cord into each of the others. So check this out: http://www.safe-n-sound1.com/Whistler%20Direct%20Cord%20with%20FUSE.html
Blinder Laser Jammers
Looks like just preorders for now.
I must admit I'm slightly disappointed in two things.
1. Price - more expensive than LI?
2. From the pic it looks like the CPU is the switch? or thats just a big ass switch.
Heads look pretty small though.
Got a set of ZR4s to act as backup and run alongside the LIs. I was planning on interfacing them with the OG STi-R but now I realize they aren't compatible. :(
Is there a way to use the ZR4s in receive only mode when they aren't interfaced to an RD? I could not figure out how based on the manual.
If you are getting the "Connections to sensors... are poor or bad" error on LI startup, its highly likely it isn't because the sensors are bad.
The most common cause of this error isn't actually a bad connection, rather a power issue. Every car's electrical system is different and the LI likes...
