I usually run Highway Radar and Waze in split screen mode on my Oneplus 6T so I get alerts other than popo and planes.

Picked up Metro on 95 stationary north bound right after Paiute reservation. I thought it was a fluke as well since I've never seen it either. 3 patrol trucks stationary in the emergency lane, one of them was doing the K pew pew.
NHP's motorcycle cops are using hand held LIDAR on 95 as well...
Still not receiving aircraft alerts as of this afternoon. Thought it was a fluke this morning so paid no mind to it.
Guess I should check the thread more often.
NHP is red and blue.
What varies is the color of their vehicles. Lately they've been implementing in silver vehicles to go along with their dark blue ones.
12 hours or 1000 miles has always been my rule, except that one time when I drove from Albuquerque, NM to Gainesville, FL nonstop, long before the days of energy drinks. Mountain Dew and No-Doz that trip.
Noted that Nevada Highway Patrol is sporting a new look for their vehicles as of yesterday.
Instead of the dark blue vehicle paint with gold markings, they've now gone to silver vehicle paint with blue markings.
Keep your eyes peeled for the new look.
K-Block filtering...
Noticed today on the drive to work that our old nemesis of Honda/Acura vehicles, specifically an Accord, punched right through it with an initial frequency of 24.185 which then shifted to 24.191. This is below what the K-Block is supposed to filter out.
There's nothing that says you can't take one with you. Just be prepared to explain what it is if TSA decides to search your bag.
Now operating one in Virginia...that's another story.
Been wrenching on VW's & Audi's for the past 20 years. Every brake job I've done has a set screw to secure the rotor to the hub.
While it does make life easier, it's a total PITA when that screw is either seized or decides to break.
Using the DFR7 clip with my R7. I noted the detector didn't sit level with the small amount of padding on the clip. Had some sticky backed thicker padding off a roll laying around, cut a 3/4" square and put it on top of the detector.
No bouncing around and the detector sits level now.
