Uniden R7 - Firmware Change-log and Outstanding Issues

Latest firmware has many Honda's clocked at 24.211 *just* outside of the k-block range. This detector never had this issue with previous fw versions

Building a laser jamming system in the Atlanta area and need test help

IIRC the TMG can get away with an atmel 328p (20mhz) and a 32a(16mhz) by offloading cleanup of the signal to a dsp so it may be possible to use an arduino uno. An arduino due would leave a lot more head room.

Atlanta Engineer looking to make laser jammer for under 200$

This is right up my alley, I'm a mech E as well. Would love hear more details. Any plan to use ML to figure out the algos?

Valentine 1 Gen 2 cosmetic defect?

I don't think that's an equivalent comparison because the dimples wouldn't affect the resale value. Personally, if a dent didn't affect resale value of my car then I wouldn't care. You should see my BRZ, I ran it at a snow cross session and I added a few more paint chips to the collection. I...

Valentine 1 Gen 2 cosmetic defect?

For me, I wouldn't waste Valentine's time on this. Those dimples won't affect performance in any noticeable way. They're barely visible. It's a cosmetic defect that may be a biproduct of injection molding that part. If you MUST return it, why be picky about them replacing the part? A plastic...

Has R7 V1.35 Made You Significantly Less Likely to Purchase Theia?

Interesting, V1.35 is giving more k band falses than any other version I've run. Regardless, it does not change my mind on Theia. I think that perfect false elimination and an open API will allow certain folks to run new tactics. For your average person or somebody living in a city, I think an...

    TMG Head Failure Analysis

I recently had a head fail which was purchases used/refurb from Jag in march of 2019, I think this is a gen 1 head but maybe someone can confirm? I would also like to mention that Jags response was phenomenal and he had a new one in the mail within 12 hours, despite the crisis that is going on...

    Technical and customer support

Feature Change Request on Next Firmware Version Issue: FW 1.35 Arrow delay is WAY too slow. When passing a signal my arrows take up to 10 seconds (1000ft at highways speeds) to communicate the direction change. This makes locating and determining source of signal near impossible especially at...

    Head is Blowing Fuse...Troubleshooting/Repair advice?

Hey guys, I've narrowed down the issue to my right head. The controller boots fine with the head disconnected but as soon as I reconnect it the the blue power light on the controller blinks a couple times and then blows the 1 amp fuse in the the included cigarette plug power cable. Has anyone...

Would you buy Radar Absorbing Paint?

It's on the back burner...of the stove I've got stored in the back shed lol. If there is renewed interest then I would be happy to help and provide engineering consult but at the moment I have too many other projects going on to pursue a radar absorbing wrap as a business interest.

Radenso Video: Radenso Theia screen and user interface sneak peek!

When something is bought from another country (an import) I.E. We import parts or products from China and we pay in usd. Chinese banks can't do anything with the US cash except spend it back in the US and they can only do two things with it, one is to buy US goods. We don't export as much as we...

Radenso Video: Radenso Theia screen and user interface sneak peek!

This is a bit off topic Randy, but where will Theia be made? I would love to see it be manufactured in the US in large part. If that is not possible, I would settle for just about anywhere other than China. The Raspberry Pi foundation works with Farnell Element 14 to manufacture most of the...

Wait and make an informed decision. "beginning of the end for Radenso" made me lol. The difference in detectors will be immense. They are seperated by two technological leaps, analog -> digital -> Artificial Intelligence. Regardless of the evidence that Theia will be the best detector by a...
