Western Australia [Edit : RD's now illegal from 12 Oct 2020] - Section 111 - Possible RD ban via overly broad stealth legislation

Everything seems quite besides that one post on WA police FB page about some poor sod that got done for the $1.2k + 7 points fine... Last week Peeked into some police cars near my parents suburb (semi rural) & I couldn’t see any RDDs mounted on the windscreen...

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

Going by revenue raisers group... looks like some over enthusiastic HWPs are extra keen on hawk eyeing detectors, must grab those sweet easy $1.2k quotas? Lol Still no mention of Spectres been used.

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

Too true, I **** hate passholes that pull this crap. Let’s just say I had gone higher than that when overtaking said group of passholes before. LOL

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

Actually by the looks of it (If that pic is the actual one) old mate is using the default coil cable so probably had a dangling cable running right in the middle of the windscreen... not very smart.

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

1602746135 First Blood... Does anyone know if this is a RDD immune model or not? Or did old mate got nabbed because he wasn’t aware of the new laws and had his RD stuck right in the middle of the windscreen.

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

I’m wondering about this too, maybe they will grab some 2nd hand ones from their eastern counterparts lol But other than that, probably just by visual, if you have one mounted center on the windscreen, RDD immune or not you are asking for trouble.

Western Australia [Edit : RD's now illegal from 12 Oct 2020] - Section 111 - Possible RD ban via overly broad stealth legislation

Sad day. I wonder how long other RD shops in WA are going to list them for sale. Currently short on funds ($2k insurance excess, thanks Kangaroo for kamikazimg into my car) otherwise would have bought a one M before they delisted it.

Ah the usual hidden placement strategy... Also where did you get the Radenso from?

Western Australia [Edit : RD's now illegal from 12 Oct 2020] - Section 111 - Possible RD ban via overly broad stealth legislation

What’s the bet, sometime in the future they will try (again) to ban revenue camera reporting apps like Waze or make new fines for people reporting their revenue cam locations... Time to retire the gen1 and relocate the gen 2 in a more stealth location me thinks... and grab another stealth RD...

Western Australia [Edit : RD's now illegal from 12 Oct 2020] - Section 111 - Possible RD ban via overly broad stealth legislation

Where are all the formal announcements and news about the ban starting next month? Can’t seem to find much... When they banned laser jammers they were vocal about it about 3 month before the start date I believe, however they seem to be quite about this... 1 are they trying to stealthily...

    Got smashed with IO

I got done like this last month too... 104 in 90 zone, rural road some 300km from Perth, bloody road kept on changing between 90/100 every few kms and I must have missed the last sign change, rural patrol 4x4 showed up around a corner, next moment, V1 was going full blast and then flashing...

V1G2 poor/non existant detection against laser cameras

Spotted another revuene raiser setup near my house coming back from work so I did another quick test. This time a Jenoptik S350m, was in an "ideal" setup for RD pickup (not hidden behind anything, facing pretty much straight down the road with clear view). Gen1 gave a initial laser warning at...

Mobile phone detection cameras are coming

I wonder which one "touched phone to report dodgy hidden reveune cam location on waze" falls under? LOL

Mobile phone detection cameras are coming

The cynic in me wonders if a photo shows a (RDD immune) detector on the windscreen those, would you get a double fine and/or cop come knocking on your door to confiscate said detector. 1596252011 Where is it mounted (which stealth unit do you have)? Best thing I guess is mount it up high...

V1G2 poor/non existant detection against laser cameras

Just sent VR a message regarding my finds and see if I could get old FW for testing. I'm back to running my old gen1 for the moment. Also where did you get this change log from? Can't seem to find it on their website?

V1G2 poor/non existant detection against laser cameras

Think you are on the money here, just checked & I'm on V4.1019... Maybe I should email VR & see if I could get a downgrade to a previous version.

    RD for Western Australia 2020

Hello again Out of the Genevo One M & Redline EX intl from your testing/past experience which one has the better detection range/consistency for mobile poliscan & (reworked) S350M? 1595929500 Unfortunately my recent testing with my gen2 suggests that what ever new design/filter/sensitivity...

V1G2 poor/non existant detection against laser cameras

I remember years ago, when they 1st put those 2 fixed poliscan cameras on the freeway the V1 would pick it up across 6 lanes from the opposite direction & also pick it up from the rear sensor as they drove pass. Or those other times it gave me like 500 to 700+m of warning of ALICE on a...
