New Firmware for New Zealand users - Uniden R7 - Beta testing

One thought was that it may have been a ploy to discourage people importing a US model to NZ

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

The Bel STi Driver (aka Bel XR in AU) was fully stealth, as was the later Bel Magnum, so this was definitely a windscreen spot 1602748186 The full pic ; A Bel XR NZ AUS "tuned for optimal conditions down under" - better known as an STi Driver from the US, with a sticker on, with some changes...

Radar Detector Detectors (Spectre RDD): any In WA-AU

Never really thought I'd be really needing a Spectre III when I bought it from ebay a year or so back for USD 120 :) Couldn't find any mention of it or Stealth Micro Systems in the WA govt gazette. Western Australia [Edit : RD's now illegal from 12 Oct 2020] - Section 111 - Possible RD ban via overly broad stealth legislation

Title of thread amended to reflect that from today (12 October 2020), it is now illegal in Western Australia to use a radar detector, or any device that can detect a speed measurement device within a vehicle, even if the device is switched off etc 1602469403 Looks like radarsdirect are out of...

MRCD Radar Speed Cameras in NSW - really?

I used to have a Redline 2015 Intl aka Pro A with MRCD and MRCT detection, and I know it was said then that switching these on was a major resource hog. Is this still the same however with the newer gen Escort detectors such as the Max 360c Intl and Redline EX Intl which use much more powerful...

Genevo MAX or ONE M for Protugal

Yes, looks pretty different to the Max, but comes out of the same factory in South Korea, and supposedly shares the same hardware underneath as the Max. If you sign up with Neoline newsletter subscription, they offer you a 20% off coupon, and when I checked, it was even free shipping to...

Yeah, here they'll write you for improper use of high beams, such as they used to use obstructed view through windshield for someone who used an RD, and they couldn't do anything about.
