Official Highway Radar iOS app development thread

So excited to see this happening!! Once you get to the point for beta testing via TestFlight, I’d love to be a part of that - and would still more than willingly pay for the public release! I know Apple locks down their CarPlay apps to only massively popular and desired third party stuff (for...

    Vancity Testing January 30, 2021

And here I am feeling quite the opposite in Edmonton. Exposed AF at those ranges to DET photo, literally all the time. Ask me how I know 🤣 Some pretty decent results there for sure, but ALP needs to step up their development. Time for more new HW.

About Highway Radar for iOS and other non-Android platforms

I’d pay for this 100%. As we all know, iPhone users traditionally have far more disposable income than android users anyways, so feel free to set any price under the sun for it! *stirs pot viciously* A separate thread is a great idea. Also, thanks to @ferius for his kind offer of giving you...

    Edmonton and surrounding area enforcement

Oooooof. If he’s in Sherwood park, and drives east henday every day, the FIRST CM he should buy is a different house - that’s not in Sherwood park! 😂😂 (Seriously though, I avoid SP and henday east like the plague, for that very reason, sheriff’s and RCMP that may as well be unemployed, as the...

LEO shoot the front end 95/5. Photo LIDAR shoots the back end 100% of the time. There is MUCH more photo enforcement than LEO enforcement - hence @Heywood saying 80/20 R/F - he’s including photo LIDAR. However, photo is just a fine. Police issued tickets come with actual consequences. Which is...

Any ON members moved out to AB???

I lived in Ontario the first 21 years of my life, GTA the whole time. Moved to Edmonton in 2007 and have been here ever since. Don’t do it. It would be preferable to work in Ontario until you die at 89 than to move to Alberta.

What cars do you all have?

This x1000. And because Canada is at the mercy of the USA market for the vehicles we import as well (for the most part) I wholly blame Americans too! 😂 I’d have gotten the RS3 in the sportback all day long if I could have. Or the RS4 would be next best, but we don’t even get that 😭 Yes - Audi...

James @ Xtreme is great, he’s a buddy of mine. Darcy did my remote starter a couple cars back - FX is the only place I’ll use if I have to use a shop (so really, only for remote starters, due to the programming.)

5 or so soccer mom SUV’s, 3 or 4 Z’s, 3 Golf R’s, E63 AMG S, CLS 63 AMG, F430 Ferrari, V10 R8, 2 997 911’s, V10 M5, both my RS3’s. Probably forgetting a few. I do electronic and optronic calibration, repair and alignment on multi million dollar armoured vehicles and weapons systems for work...

If you’re in Edmonton, can’t find an install place that isn’t gonna bend you over, AND left it with me a few days (I do work, not hard - but I have to go in to a place and pretend to 😂) I could do the install for you at a MUCH lower price than that. I have been doing way less installs lately, as...

What cars do you all have?

Love your brand choice, beautiful rides! 😍 I have a 2020 RS3 Full Bolt on, with tune on E85. They love to rate these things in crank HP, not @WHP, but it’s good for 640 on ethanol. Just bought a hybrid turbo from Iroz Motorsport for it, will be good for close to 700HP on ethanol, that’s going...

It’s always an “easy” install if you have a dremel and a bunch of cut-off attachments handy. Which, based on that photo, you will be needing.

Front. Always front, that’s where the cops here target 90%+ of the time. Yes, photo is more prevalent, but it’s only a fine - not demerits or worse. Not to mention the way you’d have to set it up if you did only rear first.

For that SUV, in Alberta, this is ideally the setup you’d purchase and install for the best possible protection. BT is a personal choice. I have it, but use it once a year if that. I prefer software updates via USB as they are much faster, and I don’t run the app - just pro mode on the hifi. I...

If you’re looking for new ALP, KMPH.ca is what you want. Other than that, for Canadian used stuff it’s a dice roll on Kijiji or FB marketplace.
