Ah! I see what you’re saying now. Yes, the Uniden is different. Every time it is connected to power, it will turn on. Regardless of how it was previously powered off.

Cutting power to the detector is the same as hitting the power button. It doesn’t require extra shut down like a computer, as you put it.
For instance, mine is hardwired, and power cycles with the vehicle ignition. So if your cigarette port cycles with the ignition, then you should be good...
Are any of my fellow Missourians seeing any MRCD/MRCT hits? By what I look up, it is being used in Illinois. With me being in STL, I'm wondering if I should turn on MRCD detection?
I agree. The average user could easily get confused. But I would personally argue that the average user isn’t purchasing such an advanced detector like the V1G2. And if they are, they’re not concerning themself with diving deep into advanced settings. I have a friend who is an avid V1 user. He’s...
The way you describe is how my Uniden R1 & R3 work, which is the most desirable. However, as I’m sure you know, Uniden’s don’t have Bluetooth chips. So all the sounds come from the detector. I just wish V1 Driver had a muted volume setting in the same way V1 Connection does. I think the way I...
Thank you for this response. As it so happens, I am in fact a motorcycle rider who uses the V1G2 in the manner you describe. And living in Missouri, it’s about to get too cold for me to keep riding. So I’ve moved the V1G2 in my car to temporarily replace my R1.
While I solely rely on the app...
I’ve searched the forum and couldn’t find a result. Forgive me if duplicate, and point me in the direction of necessary.
V1G2 running V1 Driver on latest iOS 14. I run all sounds through the car stereo speakers, not through HFP. Works great.
When using Auto Mute in V1D, it is muting to zero...
Personally, I technically have four apps working at the same time when I ride my motorcycle...
• Google Maps
• Waze
• Spotify
• V1 Driver
They all work just fine. When the radar detector gets a hit, it brings the volume down of everything else so I can hear the RD sounds. Everything works just...
In the Cardo app, you can select the priority you want. Whether it’s the phone prompts/sounds, or the intercom conversation you’re having.

I have recently made the switch from the Uniden R3 to the V1G2 on my motorcycle. The R3 used to go between my car and bike, but now it just stays in the car, and the V1 stays on the bike. The R3 setup worked just fine, but I wanted a more streamline set up.
With the new V1, I’m now running...
