    Radenso RC M Firmware update now available (28)

    Downloading and applying to all three of my RC-Ms now. 1614365812 two of my RC-Ms out of three has that faceplate/power-down bug issue. can't wait to see if this update remediates it. will report back in a bit. 1614371919 Update: I'm happy to report the f/w update on all three RCM systems...

    Why Theia at a price point of $1000+ is not cost effective.

    Hahaha. The "cost effectiveness" and the value proposition for anything is relative to every individual and the situation that individual is in, no? I suspect that certainly mid-performing RD at $150 may be "cost effective" for some group of people out there. just as that, Theia at any price...

    Loving my rc-m

    understood. :) for both Radenso and ALP, the GPS feature is more of "nuisance" avoidance feature, I thought. The systems are fully functional all the time, but when it has GPS lock and detects lower than threshold speed, then it doesn't bark at you and bother you with constant alerts. and it...

    Loving my rc-m

    I would say, "potentially" that is if the installation was done correctly. nothing is 100%. I've heard some "punch-throughs" if the coverage from enough number of jammer heads weren't there or if the installation wasn't done correctly. the jammer identifying the gun is really just confirmation...

    Loving my rc-m

    it's more like what controls and setting changes RCM displays allows. which is almost none. other than JTG duration and on/off, there is no ability to change any ALP settings through RCM display.

    Why Theia at a price point of $1000+ is not cost effective.

    Haha... I'm not sure why the thought of bang for the buck factor is the top purchase decision factor. For entry level or mid-range priced ones, I totally get it. I thought Theia will be in the market sector, "by all means necessary, let's make the best detector EVER!" category. if Theia offers...

    radenso -> ALP cable ...

    hahaha. totally understand. I'm just saying. that I used the off the shelf CAT5 and it works just fine. since CAT5's pin assignments are not straight through, it seems to me that RCM+ALP combo does not utilize the pins 1,2,3, and 6 (since they are usually crossed in CAT5). 4,5,7 and 8 are...

    radenso -> ALP cable ...

    RC-M prob does not use all 8 wires in CAT5 cable. I use a short, off the shelf, CAT5, the link works totally fine.

    Loving my rc-m

    I have RCM+ALP combo in all three of my cars. however, I think I'm gonna try to break off the link in one and install ALP controller. the convenience of everything coming through RCM display is nice, but it gives me very little custom control otherwise...

    How important is it to protect against rear shots?

    In Northern Virginia, it's been about 50/50 F/R last few years. on non-highways, it's almost exclusively Front. but on highways, I see a lot of onramp shots and overpass shots from behind.

    K band falses with RC-M in Virginia

    I've been using detectors and jammers in Virginia for last 35 years. Gotten total of 2 tickets in 35 years for it. once for a windshield mounted one that got spotted. and once for jammer that LEO spotted on around my rear license plate frame. it's equipment violation ticket in Virginia and not...
