I'm not questioning your K band encounter as your detector made that apparent, but I wonder if what you saw was actually the antennas themselves.... It's strange that he'd have both his front and rear facing antenna mounted together. You sure it wasn't just inside LED lights? They're getting really popular where they'll put the LED flashers high up in the rear side windows.
I've definitely seen both front and rear mounted on the window together, as shown in this picture. They were flat and small, similar to the Raptor RP-1 antennas. And obviously, it was transmitting K band

I have a hit from this AM, no entry for Woburn, MA on the survey so thought maybe it was worth mentioning. This was from a marked town cruiser. He was mobile:

Massachusetts - Middlesex County - Woburn - Ka 33.794

I've been wondering what they run in Woburn. 33.8 has popped up recently in Wilmington too. I'll add this info!

P.S. Got nailed by a Wakefield MA Explorer last night running K Band. They have always been Ka 35.5 in the past. This will be no fun...

Thanks for adding. Sorry to hear you got stopped. I can't recall ever actually seeing them running radar in Wakefield but perhaps I've just been lucky.

I have another to add if you don't mind... Bedford, MA marked town Explorer, rolling down Burlington Rd lighting up my V1.

Massachusetts - Middlesex County - Bedford - 34.715

That system is a older stalker SL dual K band radar dash unit.

I'll be honest, I just pulled a random image off the internet in an attempt to explain what I meant by the antennas mounted on the rear drivers side window. The system I saw was not like the one pictured. My bad!

Georgia:
Houston County: Laser. Sheriff deputy appeared to be using a compact unit (possibly a Dragoneye Compact)

Ashburn: Confirmed KA, but laser is usually used. USE EXTREME CAUTION IN THIS TOWN.

Turner County: Ka confirmed, but overpass lidar was observed. DON'T EXPECT TO DRIVE THROUGH THIS COUNTY WITHOUT TAKING A FRONT AND/OR REAR SHOT FROM LASER

Lowndes County: Overpass lidar. Be careful here.

Cook County: Overpass laser.

Florida:

Hamilton County: Laser

Another sad day today....a local town who has always used 35.5....just got a new SUV shooting K-band 24.123. I turned on a side street and got the alert (not full) and ignored it as a BSM with a couple vehicles pulling out of a local garden store. On the same route back he was set up in a trap radaring people coming down a road where people always cruise. He must have been on another side street going to the trap when I picked him up earlier.

Point being....this is now the 2nd town around me to start to switch from Ka to K band. I'm sure it will be a while before they move the rest of their fleet over, but now I just can't ignore K when running through their town.

I have a feeling if more and more dept's switch over to K band the ability to filter out BSM's will start to trump (not political I swear!) sensitivity of RD's...to a point.

I'll add to the database...but....

Orleans, MA
Barnstable County

Convenient timing. Last night, I also had a similar experience. Topsfield, MA now is running K band. Not sure what frequency they previously ran on Ka, as it was a friend's Pro M that picked it up (he didn't have the frequency displayed). But man, this is the second time in a month I've came across a previously all Ka town running K. The resurgence of K band in Massachusetts is very real right now.

I have another if someone wouldn't mind adding, I don't think this town has any data shown:

Massachusetts - Worcester County - Westminster 34.7

Marked town cruiser, running CO. Rear facing at the time. 34.663 was what JBV1 showed me.

Rear facing ~34.663 is often paired with front facing ~34.725 on the Stalker units. Or vice versa. Here in Florida they run both at the same time, so as to catch 'em coming and going.

34.7 can have a variance of +/- 100 MHz. If the signal is not withing that, it is out of spec.
