Isn't that one of the departments on the TV show Live PD?
Yes sir.
A lady friend eats that stuff up
I on the other hand have been on both sides of the law so don't like it. There's tons of dummies and plenty of narcotics busts around here to keep the program going for at least a decade.

Bozeman, MT: Sheriff's Department runs new white Ford Tauruses and Explorers with I/O 34.7. Montana Highway Patrol runs black Ford Tauruses and they also love their black unmarked Chargers. Since the Sheriff's department does most of the speed enforcement in my area I actually haven't seen what MHP runs since I haven't been hit by them since running a detector that actually shows frequency.

-Revere 34.7 (marked Explorer)
-Saugus 35.5 (marked Explorer)
-Tyngsborough 35.5 & K Band (K Band from a marked Taurus, 35.5 from marked Explorer)
-Northborough 35.5 (marked Charger)

List updated

I doubt there are many who drive in Ecuador but here are the systems in use. Feel free to add it to the database. Most systems used here are either fixed or portable (set up on the side of the road or mounted in a car).

Safepace cam 400 (fixed) 24.125
Traffilogix Enforcer (portable), lidar
Multaradar C/CD (portable), radar
Traffistar S590 (fixed), radar
Redspeed Speedcurb (fixed), uses sensors installed in the road to measure speed
Redspeed 2.0 (fixed), radar
ARH cam S-1 (portable, either used in van or side of the road), lidar
EYP SCAP rai plus (mounted in car) 35.5
Kustom Signals Lasercam 4 (handheld)
Tattile SRL Vega Speed (fixed), radar
Gatso T-series (fixed), radar
Imagsa Technologies Atalaya 3D. I don't know much about it but here is a link if anyone is interested. Imagsa - Atalaya Ultra
Stalker Patrol (handheld) 24.15
Autovelox 106 (portable), essentially ENRADD
Sintel Scout Speed (portable, mounted in car), radar although I am unsure if it is K or KA

I've been away from the hobby for some time, can someone please give a quick rundown of CT's latest radar/lidar usage? I know what's going on in my general area, but I'd appreciate a refresher. Thank you all!

This should help you find any specific information on a town-to-town basis! Just select Connecticut in the drop down menu.

Highways are almost exclusively LIDAR. Truspeed I believe. I had a rare 34.7 hit from a state trooper Crown Vic last year, but every single other highway encounter I've had has been LIDAR.

Towns tend to be a different story. I've seen almost always 34.7 in towns and even some sporadic K Band (thanks Orange). However, most of my travels happen around the shoreline. Whereabouts in the state are you traveling?

Thank you for the temporary link, I could not get access to the survey to pick up the information on my own. I spend most of my time along the shoreline from Stamford to New Haven in Laser Fairfield County. I don't remember the last time I saw a State Trooper using radar, and around town I only come across K band falses. I was hoping the consensus for the state was Laser and Ka only, but no such luck I suppose.

I will follow up with my own search, but I believe LI should still be reliable for the State's current LIDAR?

California: LA County Sheriff runs mostly I/O 34.7 and 35.5 in unincorporated areas. I've only seen one instance of C/O. Also, there is plenty of LIDAR use by LA County Sheriff motorcycle units in Calabasas and Santa Clarita.
