Would be interesting to know how you got them to give up that info so easily.

Vortex, that's really good to hear. Now, i'll just have to yell at my installer that he was wrong.

I'm new here. Where is the map or just a text listing of locales, departments and equipment? I've been all this site and have found nothing pertaining to any geographical survey that is usable. This thread has 34 pages of bits and pieces... Show me a map.

If you do have some sort of map, please decrypt any and all references and links to it. So far, I've wasted a lot of time finding pages that are simply dead ends.

Sorry about that. The RDFGS has been down for most of this year, unfortunately. I created an archive of it so we'd at least have something until it comes back up. Here's what you're looking for: https://www.rdforum.org/index.php?threads/59672/

What was the process required to gain this information? I'd love to try and confirm or relieve myself about the concern of possible k band units in the new local unmarked units... thank you!

Based on him ignoring my comment, I don't think we're going to get that information. Just the fact that Vortex hasn't told us gives me some ideas though.

I caught a unicorn in the wild today. As you know, Iowa is almost exclusively 33.8. I’ve had one confirmed 34.7 sighting (Story County Sheriff) and one K band sighting (Pella), along with a confirmed laser hit (Des Moines), low power K band photo radar trucks (Des Moines) and Gatso photo radar trucks (Polk County).

I caught a 35.5 signal the other day but couldn’t confirm its source. Today as I was sitting finishing a call a 35.504 signal popped up and a Polk County Sheriff rolled in front of me running his rear antenna. Interesting to see that signal here.

I'm sure Vortex just missed the post. However, this is something well within reasonable disclosure with a simple FOIA request. I'll agree that the detail he got was pretty nice, but all PD's should be compelled to provide this info.

Can someone please give me a link to a file containing the backup of the RDFGS 1.0 data. I didn't have permission to view the last link that someone posted. Thanks ! Or what's the process that I need to go through to get permission.
