Test with the new 1.53 Uniden R1/R3 firmware vs Jenoptik TraffiStar SR390 (MRCT) and TraffiStar S350 (lidar) in the same black/white tower on the left after the lights.
Approaching (camera facing front of car) and receding (camera facing rear of car) runs.
Approaching, the R3 initially picks up as K band from the camera on 24.171 before the lights. According to the FCC test data, this seem's to be the upper of the 3No. MRCT channels operating around 24.165. We get a positive MRCD (MRCT) detection while waiting at the lights, then a brief K band alert, then back to solid MRCD alert.
The previous couple of firmwares have been blind to poliscan/S350 laser detection, so looks like they fixed it, but it only alerted as I passed (I usually have this cam in my R3 GPS db anyway). More work required by Uniden (R7 1.29 still does not alert). My ALP picked it up back at the lights (switched off for the cam approach)
Swinging back round the other way for a reverse pass, the R3 again initially picks up K band (24.170), and reverts to MRCD(MRCT) alert just prior to passing.
Conclusion - my R7 on 1.29 often detects MRCD waiting at the lights, but has never got that initial K sniff on 24.170-24.171 that far back, so this is definitely the best on MRCT since 1.46
