Due to the lower volume of vehicles on the road at the moment, driving back from work is quite nice. Cruising along with the windows down and music playing, but still paying attention and on the lookout which shows in this clip. You can see at the 10 second mark in the video there is a vehicle that crests the hill and just comes into sight, I notice it is an Explorer and only going about 65 here while PSL is 55. I slowed to 56 right when my detector goes off to 35.5 for that split second. I don't quite remember if someone was way behind me because it seems he either turned his radar back on or maybe shot the rear antenna? Only know of one unit in this town that has a full front and rear Decatur system.

Either way it is the first instant on I have seen from a local here. So be on the look out, even with the reduced traffic.

Good job with the eyes spotting the Explorer and being able to slow down before he clocked you. This is a good reminder of the “dangers” of I/O and very little traffic.

But how do you do that!
Like he barely saw him at the top of the hill.
Ive gotten so used to explorers that I just keep my foot on the gas if the RD doesnt beep, and then I check the roofracks.
I need better reflexes, aaaahhh

It is more about the situational awareness. I know for a fact that these locals will patrol and sit on this stretch of road being I travel it everyday. So you really get to know what to look out for and where.

When you are in an unknown area that is really where your eyes need to be peeled and it is usually easier to keep it slow anyways.

So this was an eye-save video, even better than just an I/O one! Great video, would have been a take-down if it weren't for your good situational awareness.

I'll tell you how you do that! After it happens to you a thousand times or so, you get used to it and actually expect it to happen! In N.C., at least in my part you can never relax or the second you do you'll get just what he just got! Most of the time these Troopers will wait even longer to pop you! If you don't get tons of eye saves, you won't keep driving long around here! Great video and love that Redline!

They are driving white less and less in my local area, good eye. They have been moving to about any color other than obvious. Ha.

Nice save! Shame on a nice day you can’t crush it on an open road like that. I would!
