if you cant find the info here. Go to Escorts forum and see if its there. If not, they are pretty good with replying back if you post the issue.

Was it an error doing a firmware or red light / speed camera database update? Are you saying after you restarted everything seems fine and normal on your detector?

I have the red light and speed camera database WiFi update enabled on my Max360c, and it occasionally prompts me to update the red light and speed camera database when I pull in my driveway or when I am leaving. On occasion, it will give me an error message too. After I reboot it, it is fine, but I don’t know if the database has been updated. It normally will prompt me in a day or two to download the update, and it normally will go through fine on the next attempt.

Since always... The Mods will answer and the EscortMod will answer questions also. There maybe an issue like this on the forum. I posted the link below.

I’ve found that they try to be helpful, unless you present an idea that they disagree with. I had them argue with me in 2013 when I told them that Utah has Ka Band fixed traffic monitoring on Interstate 15. They disagreed, despite my local daily experience in specific spots. Seven years later and daily drives through, I know what I am talking about. There are actual fixed location Ka Band sensors in two spots. The others are K Band, but my point is that sometimes they can be stubborn on there and focus more on arguing than trying to learn and be helpful.

Also if you look over the old threads where users reported the Max, Max 2, and Max II actually failing to remember locked out signals, they denied that adamantly until suddenly a firmware update was released for it, despite them previously never acknowledging that there was an issue.

They try and be helpful, but be aware that sometimes it’s not as easy to go against the grain with them, even when you have the best interest at heart.

I had issues with my Max 360c on earlier firmware versions when trying to do the wireless update. I recommend taking it inside and doing the update via USB. You can choose the Update or Update All options. I recommend selecting Update All, as it will flash all firmware components and give you a better chance of fixing any unseen issues in your unit, especially after a failed update attempt as you described.

My 360c was amazing and then I did the last update for added MRCD. Now it it the biggest POS!! So bad that I put it away and am running my Redline Ex for the meantime and dealing with the BSM false alerts. Beyond annoyed and no help insight from Escort.....

What happened for you to call it a 'POS' after the update? A lot of us are running the latest firmware with no issues/complaints.

I agree. I get very few false alerts and most of the time it's quiet until I see a cop. I've had no problems at all.

Constant Escort Live false alerts when not even connected to Escort Live and my alarm/remote start all of the sudden sets Ka off and I'm doing 1-4kmh when parked. Never had these issues until the last update.
EL can not really give you 'false alerts'. EL can give you alerts of cameras in their database or reported Ka/K hits from other drivers. Can you elaborate on that a bit more?

As for your alarm/remote start setting off Ka, that sounds more like a vehicle/wiring issue than it does a RD problem. The issue may have surfaced around the same time as the update but I doubt it has anything to do with the firmware.

As far as the 1-4kmh issue when parked....I reported that years ago on Escorts forum. For reason it does not 'zero out' when you stop, hanging on the last speed before stopping. Visually it is a bit annoying now and then, but I have since ignored it.

These issues only happen with the 360c. My Redline and Radenso Pro M don't do this. The live Ka is really strange too. Why would I be getting these if I'm not on Escort Live. It's like someone is marking the super odd places like in my driveway and 2 blocks from my house and random places where police never sit. Makes no sense at all. And all of this started after thay last update

The only way to get 'live alerts' is to be connected to wifi/EL...and for the alerts to be on their servers being reported based on your location. I noticed the other day when on EL that a lot of the alerts were over 7 days old, some up to 20 days! Your alarm/remote starter causing the Ka false in your driveway will automatically send that 'live ka' report to the cloud....in turn you will get that alert on your RD until that 'pin' is expired from their system. In the past that happens after a couple hours...not sure why reports are hanging for weeks though. If you are getting/reporting alerts to the cloud whether you realize it or not your RD is connected to wifi.

For 33.603 alerts, why not try disabling segment 1? Do any of your false Ka alerts happen on legit police frequencies? Using band segmentation is a bit of a hack and doesn't technically solve the underlying issue, but it would prevent you from experiencing those false Ka alerts so it would do the job regardless.

I understand what you are saying but wifi and EL are both disabled and live alerts are still happening. The only detector that is effected is my Max 360c. It's 10 months old so maybe it needs to be sent in. Something is definitely off.

Thanks Vortex, I will try that. Thank you.

I’ve experienced that. It can be hard to hear over the road noise. One thing you can do to overcome this, is to run the Escort Live app paired to your phone, while also using BlueTooth audio out from your phone to your vehicle, and enable audible alerts in the app.

After a while of learning them, I went back to just the detector audio only. I let the app receive and relay live alerts, and use the detector for the audible alerts.
