V1 G2 vs 35.5Ka maybe Forward Facing? Anyway 1.75 miles alert. I don't know why after it locked on to the radar signal at the 2nd alert why it muted it the rest of the way all on its own.

I've gotten a couple of forward facing 35.5 alerts already with my V1G2 that have blown my mind! Great alert and video! I don't know why or how it muted the alert either?

I have savvy connected but it's set at 25mph. I don't understand why it muted the signal after it locked on to it on the 2nd alert

We dont have 35.5 around here! Mostly 34.7! Good range!

Very nice range! I kinda doubt it was forward facing with the terrain, (curve, large embankments at the overpass and distance), but the G2 did a great job regardless.

Thanks for sharing.

If you were logging alert on JBV1 you could have separated the frequencies to determine if they were the same or there was another Avon LEO running Ka-band.

Not often do you see OSP running Ka.

Ohio State Patrol just switched all their radar units to 35.5 from X band not to long ago.
Do you have a source for that?

I remember the last update on the charger with LED on the front and rear was running X-band CO!

Well for starters I’ve seen the antennas on their light bars and they are now very small and black. I actually had an encounter with I/O yesterday with one of them too. I will post it in a little bit. @Autotech198 should be able to give some more evidence.

I followed the arrows and strength meter it was 100% him running KA 35.5. I have encountered them on my Uniden R3 a few times running KA 35.5

Im a source. 4 of them in different locations gave very little warning around a ramp or heavy foilage. BEWARE

I watched it again. The signal drop after 10 seconds on the first 35.5? Second one?

One the first one it picked it up for a second then dropped if. On the second one it locked on the entire time. I don't know what my V1 is automating my alerts. I did not mess with any settings

That is an honest mile FF. If you knew the frequency was the same the FF range was bonkers!

JBV1 announced the OSP plane at the top of the pic back in October.

One thing I will do if I see the lines those airplanes use as well I will intentionally pull over if I was speeding

JBV1 app tells you are entering each zone with a beep and indication on the screen. Very slick!
