This looks cool. Vanta black

NONE of these applied products work against LIdar, NONE OF THEM! Only LJs work against Lidar, Period. Original Veil only slightly worked at extreme range against the oldest Legacy Guns. None of these products (Veil, Plasticdip, super Black, Bedliner, etc) worked even if the whole vehicle was done in them! You might ask why, simple, because no matter what you do or use you have NOT eliminated a surface that WILL reflect Lidar IE the front of no vehicle has less surface area then the point of a needle. In other words, the Lidar gun IS receiving a return, period. You can’t make the massive surface area of your front end disappear. Yes you can make it worse by adding a huge chrome bull bar or make the LEO have to work harder by Plasticdipping all your shiny stuff, but the Lidar Gun is STILL going to get a return.

Now there is new ceramic technology that shows huge promise, but at $500 a square inch applied, I don’t foresee any of us testing it anytime soon much less having it applied to a vehicle’s entire front end!

Veil is for fools at best (because even they should know better) and suckers at worst!

That was a similiar picture of the xk8. Editing time is only 10 mins while I was cooking.
This was 2013 pics of my 2 babies when purchased before paint. Both totalled by careless drivers. I have some lidar guns coming soon. Hopefully some 2020 top secret police grade units as well(Hope I don't get in trouble at work lol) to play with. Maybe the officer just profiled me with rims and loud music?

You can play with VEIL and blacking out your car all you want, but there is almost no chance of getting meaningful protection from it.

When we were testing against the Truspeed S, the most affected modern gun, the IPT range was around 800ft when usually you can target the car at 1300ft. At 800ft we could not visually see the shooter on the side of the street, so it's extremely unlikely you'd take such a laser alert seriously especially from a Valentine One which falses frequently on laser.

At any rate, around 500ft or so, you can just shoot the driver and get reading after reading off of the person who is clearly visible. How do you fix that? VantaBlack the person or windshield?

At any rate, there are specific materials that can be used on an appropriate profiled car to turn it into a stealthy car against some laser guns. But at that point you are literally restricting your car buying choice and having a car that looks obviously blacked out (and may not even be legal), and spending hundreds if not thousands on passive CMs and then you'll still be chicken little, slamming on your brakes every time your radar detector goes off for whatever reason. Let's not forget too that getting even a splotch of dirt or salt on your fully stealthed car (or getting a leaf or plastic bag stuck in your radiator) will make it as reflective as a mirror to LIDAR.

In jammer-illegal areas, the jammer-aware cops like the one unnamed officer in VA are all extremely sensitive to looking for telltale signs of sudden braking coinciding with being shot by laser.

All in all, this is a ton of trouble compared to placing 2 to 3 discreet LIDAR jammer heads and practicing a good JTK. LIDAR jammers almost never false and you can slow down on your time and control exactly when you want the officer to get a speed reading. And your car will be zooming past them at 65mph with almost no time for them to closely examine your car. What are the chances they will go from stationary to chasing you just to look at your car and harass you, for a device that less than 1% of cars on the road carry?

Passive countermeasures are a fun academic exercise but in the real world it's not at all practical. Whether you're trying to be discreet or want the best protection, nothing beats functional active CMs.

P.S. It's really easy to make fake videos and fake demos of these kinds of products. There are many surfaces on your car where you can shoot at it all day or look like you're shooting at it and never get a lock. Once you get your laser gun you can see how that is. Almost every video you have shown us is literally from the manufacturer or a close associate of the manufacturer of VEIL trying to convince you their product works. Real LIDAR jammers have dozens of other individuals and testing groups unaffiliated with any manufacturer testing them.

The video you sent is a test with an LEO. Dear god...

What's your line of work?
Ohio Transit and Port Authority.Whats nice, I live by Radenso and plan on getting them beers for the new detector after the lockdown from covid 19.

We also sub contract police(only the cool af ones and have several friends and family leos that support the forum), so no worries man, we support the forum and family and all have fast cars and bikes with loud bikes lol

I used to believe that my car (FR-S) was "immune" because there were no real vertical surfaces on the front, black on black paint scheme and my license plate is angled down. Two LIDAR tickets later (#1=fine+no points,#2= traffic school) and I installed a 6 head ALP system. When you are on the other end of the LIDAR gun (Trooper's view) the vertical surfaces and the license plate trick mean nothing...

Knowledge is power. Once you begin to learn, you realize how much you didn’t know before.
