Hi, all.
This was the first time I got back-to-back false and legit K alerts. After watching my video, I realized how risky such situation could be. The Buick at 1:20 caused 24.171 rear alert right after it passed by, then few seconds later full blast front 24.116 I/O (LEO seen at 1:28). He is very sneaky, but also what caught me off-guard was that I was still preoccupied looking at the display for the BSM alert and thinking it was my first PT since the latest update...

I watch K to see if I can guess what car brand its going to be. A few places here K is for LEO so its a toss up that I have not memorized yet. That one in the video was tough, I might just have thought it was a car I did not recognize yet. False signals are just annoying.

True.
I have memorized all the legit K band frequencies I have encountered from locals around here, so I can tell with a good confidence when a low strength signal pops up if it is legit or not. Really lucky so far there is no legit 24.16x - 24.18x around, cause that is the range of most falses I get. The ramp up should always give up the source. It's just in this situation it was so soon after the BSM, it really gets you unprepared...

... And hopefully gets all his K-band colleagues with him...

You are very welcome.

Id be thrown off that a BSM from the opposing lane even triggered my RD but it’s happened before.
I can’t tell you how much I hate K band .

Yes, it sucks big time! Every time it gets me off-guard.
