Hi, all.
I think my TMG system is failing. On my way home it all of a sudden started announcing "Auto Sleep Mode" in a loop (non-stop). I looked at the CPU - the power light was OFF, the BT light was solid ON, yet was disconnected from JBV1 app. Non of the buttons were responsive! I did power cycle (note that I am using the DC adapter, not hardwired). After it powered back on, the BT light was solid blue, but did not connect to the app. Buttons not responding again, but this time the power light was ON. It worked OK after another power cycle for about 15 minutes. Then it went into some weird loop of powering on/off by itself, announcing "Volume 1", Volume 2", etc (and the volume was set to 15 before so)! Ultimately, it would refuse to power ON. I did check all the wires, all look firmly connected. At the end, if powered ON, it would not announce anything, and there is a solid red light, where the DC input jack is.

Failing head(s) or CPU?

I just tested the heads last week with a laser tester, everything was good. Installed it back in October 2019, so just 3 months...

It does the same thing whether the transponders' cable is connected or not (I also tried connecting it to each port available - no change). No sound, just solid power light ON, and solid red light ON. I tried the RST several times - it just immediately comes up to the same state. Also checked the transponders after having it ON for awhile - no heat at all.

Thank you!
Per our conversation, I will try again all the suggested steps tonight, and report back regardless of results...

@Jag42, I was able to connect to the CPU via the Defender app. I left the CPU totally disconnected from everything for 2 hours. When powered on, it was the same state - no sound, non-responsive. But this time the app connected, and I did the control update. Then power cycle. After that the CPU seems to be operational, but there is a background noise/static with any voice announcement (best way to describe is like a walkie-talkie type of sound), It has not done this before, and it is persistent with and without being connected to the CPU via the app. About 2 weeks ago I had a weird echoing noise after alert sound (posted this in another thread). This is different now. I tried the heads with my tester, and they receive successfully. Not sure what to make out of the distorted sound. The volume is at 10 (as I have always had it)...

Well, this morning the issue occurred again. CPU gets into reboot loop, update light stays ON, BT keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to JBV1 app, buttons non-responsive. Later on I will unplug heads one at a time and see if any difference. They do not get hot at all, not even warm.

Here's a video example of the boot loop:

OK, this is the weirdest outcome so far: constant alerting with no cable attached, only power. It does that no matter how many times I power cycle, or wait between each test. Also, buttons seem to not respond on first push, but it varies. So no consistency on the observed issues.
