I'm in for a VPR CPU and head as a trade in for my Gen 1 CPU. I'm assuming you'll take orders via the website. I not, PM me and I'll give you my email address for the link/info.

@Jag42 - What is the price if trading in a Gen 1 CPU? I imagine you'll take CPU trade-ins, but not necessarily head trade ins, as there isn't a need to swap out heads...?

Is the idea that this setup would be paired with existing heads the buyer already owns or is the VPR head supposed to be able to defeat DragonEye with a single head on smaller vehicles?

It needs to be paired with existing heads, the VPR head is TX only so you need other regular heads to receive.

Based on what I have read before, the VPR head is an addition to existing setups, mostly for duals I would say. If you have triple - then the VPR would replace the one in the middle. It also requires its own dedicated cable.

EDIT: Sorry, I just saw @TurboDriver's post. Did not mean to duplicate.

Is there a height minimum like the TX head?

I'm interested but I'd really appreciate it if we could get some official release about the specs, the VPR ports, new updated algos, etc. and any of the other questions that were posed in this thread.
I'm working on it.

I would not mount very low. VPR head needs to be at least 2 inches higher, or lower than the G2 heads, and centered between the G2's like a third head. @RaggedEdge Audi and Benz was a very good example.

I thought I read @Jag42 saying somewhere that this isn't a TX head and actually will both send and receive unlike how the ALP setup works. Or is the whole "Its VPR not TX" more about the naming and not the actual function?

Well, guess I'll tamper my excitement a bit. I thought for a minute I could get a $380 system for the gf's car for (some) protection when we take that on road trips, but guess too good to be true.

I'm realizing now, that "dual sets" may just mean CPU + one VPR head, and the $380 is CPU only?

I believe the "dual sets" as mentioned in the OP is: 2 G2 heads with splitter cable + 1 VPR head & cable + VPR CPU

Ah, duh, that makes more sense. So a decent amount cheaper than ALP which is nice. Although for that price I'd probably still try and pick up a used triple RX ALP setup which doesn't have the gaps in DragonEye version support folks have been discussing recently. Maybe used a non-VPR TMG will fall into the sweet spot in price for a second car though...

Nice, that's more like what I'm looking for! I'll keep that in mind.

For the folks comparing pricing on a new VPR system vs ALP, 3RX ALP new (with their new dumb required GPS antenna) is $1,090 ($260 delta). Add Bluetooth and HiFi for a more apples-to-apples comparison and you're at $1,290 ($460 delta). Going with TX over a third RX adds $100 to both ALPs (so $1,190/$360 and $1,390/$560). I'm sure Vortex and others will be covering this stuff in more detail, but figured I'd throw it out b/c I just did the math haha.

I have disrupted many systems that are thought to JTG/JFG with TXs (even RXs) set too low (ALP/TMG world). Don't ever expect flat world and LIDAR, as targeting still can be acquired more than one expects. Near level and highernpoints to give that edge of early protection to reduce to PSL and potential ticket no matter which system.

Do any of these deals/coupons apply to the Canadian site? And also what is the MSRP without any sales.

I didn't see the option on TMG website, it says of stock and no option to put in cart, so... is it not up yet and you were just giving a heads up, do we need to PM you, or am I missing something?

+1 @TurboDriver - went to the website and couldn't find the option for the upgrade available. Can you please be more specific about how we can place an upgrade order?

THX!
