I had been following this unmarked state trooper for about 8 miles and he was running I/O 35.5 at cars coming up from behind. I got the initial alert coming behind him at first, but it was't a save and I also think that the video would've been boring, so I just decided to include the last part.

This oblivious driver with PA plates flew by me, went up and tailgated the trooper, then passed him and cut back over.

Thanks for sharing! Same situation happened while I was on my way home today as well. I was doing a decent clip in the left hand lane, seen a Ford Explorer slowly going in the right hand lane, so I slowed down thinking it was an unmarked. I slowly crept closer, seeing some tell tale signs of it being an unmarked. Few minutes later, a guy comes blasting by, got Ka blasted and the lights came on. Definitely have to be extra weary driving at night!

NC State Troopers love it when you come hauling @ss up right behind them, and then tailgate them for a second and then if that wasn't enough blow past them and turn right back in front of them! Like you said, that sucks for that guy! That's damn sure going to leave a mark! Great video! I know he was unmarked, but jeez!

 People will literally drive over an unmarked trooper.

I had passed this truck one time and a few miles up the road I saw this marked trooper about 1/8 mile up in front of me. I slowed down and the truck I had passed pulled up beside me and hammered down like he was going to race me. He runs up to maybe 2 car lengths of the trooper and slams his brakes when he realizes what he has done. The freaking trooper wasn't paying attention and never even pulled the guy. The trooper gets off at the next exit. I pulled up next to the truck, rolled my window down and laughed my ass off at the guy. Then I proceeded to just leave him behind. He was a little shook and didn’t speed anymore.

Remind me if I ever forget, to not visit North Carolina. The lack of tolerance is off-putting, IMO.

Utah sounds like it's getting a little nasty as well! What about that 34.3 Stalker you posted about? And "parking sensors" are illegal as well! Looks like Jane and I will be in for a little bit of fun when we visit Ogden in a couple of months!

Had one try to do it to me 8 miles north of dual rest area near mm 60 or 64 on I77 at 11am on a weekday
He only fired one rear shot (trees lining left side) rolled at 70 and got off 10 miles later
No light rack but state trooper imprinted on trunk

They've rotated again IO is on now
And laser will be heavy this spring
Nice video
Keep them eyes peeled at night
Bet the guy didn't even know he could be clocked that way

Give him a break hes from PA he doesnt know what Ka is !

You gotta feel bad for drivers that come out of SC at 100mph on 77 w Jersey divders to try to make it from exit 1 go the VA border 105.7 miles at that speed wo countermeasure

At least if He has CM he would’ve picked something up as he was coming up , from others in front of him. Wouldn’t have been easy though.
such a damn scary situation and unmarked at that.
but yes it’s enough to fly in and then on top of that he swoops right back around probably after tailgating the cop too. Seems like the cop would’ve let the swooping in go, but then the take off around him probably ticked him off.
I wish the cop would just focus on the road in front of him instead of flicking switches and pushing buttons and watching his rear view. “Safety” IS their concern...

That works both ways! Ever notice when you drive back into NC from ANY other state all of the cars with NC tags automatically drop anchor as soon as they hit the NC border while all of the other cars keep right on hauling @ss! I must admit, even with all of my countermeasures running wide open, I still flinch myself and go into a whole different mode! NC is just no damn joke! As soon as you drop your guard you'll get your day ruined for you in a split second, and that's with multiple countermeasures! How anyone can drive even one mile in NC without at least a good detector beats the hell out of me!

I made a couple of trips into North Carolina in 2018, and you definitely aren’t kidding about NC State Troopers and their use of I/O. I had a couple of encounters where the NC Troopers were hidden pretty well around a curve. Fortunately, my R3 was on guard and performed very well. I think I even used my CR97 for a leg or two in NC, but the Uniden R series sensitivity is a definite plus in challenging terrain situations when dealing with I/O.

Whistlers for the most part are greased lightning against I/O and even Q/T shots! I still break my 95 and 97 out from time to time! They are faster than my R1's or even my Redline-O's against I/O as long as it's on axis! As soon as a hill or curve get involved however they drop range like a rock as you well know.

I had a similar experience. Me and the folks heading home to Lubbock from Midland. Max 360c alerts, I slow down truck flies by me and Highway Patrol cuts across the median lights lit up the night, Got em!

I actually think it has mostly just been the top brass making some noise, especially with this being his first year in charge and him losing lots of vehicles to stupid drivers who won’t slow down when passing the UHP vehicles at the side of the road engaged in traffic stops. A few weeks later, enforcement action and driver culture remains the same.
