Was working in Jackson Hole headed home this morning. Idaho highway 26, following another car and snowplow. I was lucky as ISP was closing the highway towards the end of the video.

I’d hate to break down or get a flat in those conditions!

A lot of LEOs!

Do people run snow tires or they can't be bothered?

That's a lot of drifting, and not the fun kind at that!

Yes, there were a lot of LEOs for this stretch. The first one was the county sheriff. This is a 20-ish mile stretch so I was wondering if he was checking the road while the state police were closing it down. As to your other question about snow tires, they are not mandatory but I run studded tires, have AWD and carry 2 sets of quick fit tire chains just for situations like this.

Miss it up there, as I spent many a night in the 1990s at the Mangey Moose and stumbling into the Hostel.

Glad you made it back safe.
