Hi everyone. New forum member here, located in the Southwest United States, Phoenix and Tucson Arizona. I have been doing a lot more highway driving lately so I decided to get up to speed on countermeasures and what I can do to avoid getting a ticket along I-10! (lol) I'm running a R7 and looking at possibly adding an ALP system. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to RDF!

From what I can tell in a few quick searches, it looks like Gatso RT3 and Gatso RT4 cameras are used in Phoenix as permanently mounted speed cameras, red light cameras, and speed on green cameras. Also, I believe there are mobile-mounted (vehicle-mounted) RedFlex speed cameras as well.

The Uniden R7's GPS database should cover you on the permanently mounted cameras, but no GPS database will help you with the mobile-mounted cameras.

I'm no expert on RedFlex, but maybe some of our other regional guys can give some advice on specific settings and setups to use for them.

Welcome to RDF...As for the RD a R7 or R3 works best in the metro areas...I run an R3 in advanced mode with some other settings i dont remember off hand. As for laser, alps work best, but TMGs will work as well if money is a constraint. Alot of laser in use on I-10 between phx and tucson more so by casa grande. Read up on all the info you can find.👍
