Hey Everyone! I had a shop put in an Escort Max CI 360 radar detector and laser shifters and found this forum seeking answers as it was driving me insane beeping incessantly, and then be dead silent when passing NYSP.... @Andrew21 set me on the right direction and I added an ALP system mounted in more appropriate locations.

Now, I'm ready to show off the new install! I have 2 vertical ALP sensors in the active grille, and its wired and notched to not interfere with the opening and closing of the slats in the grille. The TX sensor in the front is in the lower mesh grille, along with the escort laser shifters. There are also 3 ALP heads in the rear mounted around the license plate and 2 escort sensors and the radar head underneath the rear bumper.

I figure that I'll run the escort shifters in detection mode only and let the ALPs handle laser defense, but since I'll still rely on the escort for radar, I figured there was no point to undertake the additional labor to remove the escort laser heads. I've got the displays and controls in the small storage compartment. Right now, they are mounted with double stick tape, though I'm working with a local 3D printing guy to make a custom bezel for the displays and controls so they sit flush with the top of the container, and as low as possible so I can restrict the compartment from opening all the way. My logic is that I'm going to primarily rely on the audible alerts from either system - hear the beeps or ALP's spoken alert and drop the anchor - and then look at the screen/iPhone app for more info when safe to do so. I've got the ALP set to 3 second auto JTK. I also have a wired switch that will be mounted in the bezel that can cut power to both systems simultaneously. When I close the compartment door, there is no visible evidence of the systems (unless the iPhone app is still on screen) as I didn't use either system's LEDs.

Looking forward to testing the system, and many thanks to @Andrew21 for his advice, time, and testing!!

Love to hear everyone's feedback!

Nice install and nice that you went with ALP and the TX head. My concern is the low TX head? @Andrew21 how did he do ? I have eatn ALP systems similar.

If those are Escorts on the lower frontal area, I would be concerned, as they are low and can be easily defeated...

@Andrew21 had the same concern about the front TX head. The first and last slats in the active grille is are stationary, so I'm going to relocate the TX head to first slat in the grille. I'll also raise the other two sensors based on Andrew's input. Will also bring the rear TX sensor a bit further out to clear the trunk lip, and space out the two other sensors a bit more.

As far as the escorts... that was @Andrew21's initial concern that prompted me to install the ALP system. I figure I'm just going to run the escort shifters in detect mode only rather than taking the time and effort to remove them.

Nice install! And love that color!
Thank you!!

Many thanks to @Andrew21 as well for meeting up to test the system out! Really appreciate your time and input Andrew!! I'll be in touch after we clean up the escort install and make the few changes to the ALP system.
