Curious, what did the owner DO wrong and how are they going to ID the owner/driver of said vehicle. IN the US, part f any criminal complaint must include ID of defendant and jurisdiction (where crime occurred.)They can't really. So what I'm guessing they end up writing a ticket against the owner of the vehicle. This means you pay the cost of the ticket but it never goes to your insurance provider meaning no points/premiums.
I agree Mike! I can either pop the chip out of the dashcam or dismount it in a split second, so I'm not worried about it. I'm more worried about some [email protected] hitting our car and hauling @ss, or putting the blame on me! Someone ran into a pickup right in front of my workplace just yesterday and left the scene and no one got the bastards plate number! A dash cam sure would have come in handy!it really is a catch twenty two. i think it can help more than hurt most of the time. the times it can hurt, eat the evidence
