Hi!

We have been testing new Genevo MAX here in Madrid (Spain) and our conclusion at this moment is: more less the same performance on KA band and an improvement on Multaradar CD detection.

I will publish more videos of our tests, here is the first one:

There is a new firmware version available for the Genevo MAX. Latest should be firmware version 29 and radar version 01. After updating I repeated the test from above against Ka-Band and there is a significant improvement visible. There was a lot of traffic ongoing, which normally pushes detection range. To be sure I will do some further observations.

After rechecking my testing documentation, I saw that the first test was done with radar version 00, which seems a bit odd to me. Maybe this was a beta version and would explain the bad ka results?

Does anyone know the changelog of the firmware updates?

@Todoradares
It is great to have you an board. I am looking forward to your results.

It is really FW02. It has a bug and shows FW01 but it is FW02.
I will check for the changelog of this FW, I remember I have it written somewhere...

I have more videos, I will try to upload them this evening (MRCD and Multanova 6F).

Thanks for the welcome! I think it is interesting to check the performance between different countries and share information!

2. This radar is a copy of Neoline X-Cop 8700s in a different case, which Koreans began sale in Russia and Europe. This is a standard platform with an amplifier that gives as for me more minuses than pluses = one big false alert in K-band all time (maybe in Genevo something reconfigured, but then the range in K-band becomes lower) IMHO. There are no frequency and k segmentation.
I've tested Neoline X-COP 7500S in comparison to Genevo One M (they look identical from outside and almost identical inside). Neoline X-COP 7500S IS DETECTABLE by Spectre RDD and it has much worse Ka-band detection. It also doesn't see Gatso T-series. I don't know why, maybe Genevo uses more expensive components in RF-path, because Neoline is mainly sold in Russia and Russian police doesn't use use Ka-band radars, RDD and Gatso.
Because of that, I am afraid that it will be the same situation with Neoline X-COP 8700s and Genevo MAX. Otherwise, it would have been great to get same performance for 1/3 of the price.

So I better wait for Radenso Theia than to buy Genevo!

It’s actually strange if you can get Geneva m for 600 eur and max for 800 eur, it’s a rip-off 200 eur for what? Better design? Geneva m does everything the same for lower price

Genevo MAX has better MRCD performance. Moreover the new case, new sensors (autobright, mute by hand..), new holder, improved power cord... It is not only a better desing, the internals are different.

We have also tested Neoline products and at least in Spain it doesn't work. Incomplete database, low KA performance, low MRCD detection and plenty of falses (not only in MRCD but also on KA). Neoline X-COP 7500S is not comparable with Genevo ONE M, maybe with Genevo ONE ECO or so. Neoline X-COP 8700S is not comparable with Genevo MAX, maybe with Genevo ONE S.

At least, these are the results we got here.

8700s and MAX have same platforms, but 100% not same software algorithms, especially on false alarms, because important point in EU is not need in RU and conversely...

Genevo MAX has better MRCD performance.

I drive with Genevo One M. MRCD is fine. Therefore I don't need the new MAX, but Genevo should work on false Alarms.
