While Radenso is developing the new THEIA, Genevo brought out their new MAX. It will be interesting to hear from the Europeans, how it works.

Not sure how much of it is new besides the motion sensor. They say its RDD immune but they say the same thing about the Pro M equivalent. They do specifically mention that it can detect the "usually undetectable modern GATSO RT3/RT4" so maybe boosted K band sensitivity.

It's Pro M architecture in a better case with European tweaked firmware. It doesn't have sensitivity to compete with R7. No accurate frequency display.
So a 200 Euro premium over the One M for just a nicer case and motion sensor? Wow

So I better wait for Theia and hope it works in Europe.

Any plans to bring this over to the US as a Radenso branded product? It looks like it addresses some of the biggest complaints about the Pro-M (RJ-11, looks higher quality, max 360c style suction cup mount, better display, better button placement).

I seriously doubt it.
For suction cups and a RJ connection and button configuration?

Another product that they would have to pay royalties ( licensee fee) to Cedar for???

That would be a big no. I doubt it would sell or be worth it.

It’s ugly and looks old school, just my opinion...
Haha I was actually thinking that I liked the look of this thing quite a bit. Minus the buttons on the top X.x But I like the boxy aesthetic. Different strokes

GESTURE CONTROL
Motion sensor for contactless operation. Mute the alarm without searching for the right button. Simply just wave your hand instead.
This has been on the Neoline X-COP range for a while (made by same Korean company)

No accurate frequency display.
I thought you said frequency doesn’t matter LOL
Have they updated the prose?
I know they charge for updates...
Can you get them in U.S. detectors?

Frequency display might not matter to most people but it's a nice feat to have and it will teach people how the rd works ,so people won't ask why am I getting all these false what does this mean was this a was this a cop,was it a false etc you get my point. It should be mandatory in every detector so people can use Rds better and won't have a high return volume

That was a joke from the Pro-M because Jon said the majority of people do not want accurate frequencies or something along those lines, don't quote me.

Yes, most regular users don't care about frequencies and don't use frequency display. But ALL enthusiasts in this forum do. So the first complaint of enthusiasts would be the lack of accurate frequency reporting. And since this is a legacy detector frequency matters.

Interesting design. Cool concept about the motion sensor.

With this unit, when you blow by that Mazd and you wave your hand to stop those BSM detection, they think you are giving them the finger.. Hahah love it.

Not wanting to be accused of self-promotion (we represent a retailer), but the Genevo MAX is not exclusive to Europe. It's gone international already. Not sure about the USA anytime soon though.

Genevo does not have a GPS lockout license, so they are not able to bring this into the USA without being instantly sued unless I decide to sell it as Radenso.

Would they be able to sell it in the US after the patent expires in 6 months? And at that point are other companies off the hook for royalties to Escort?

Actually they reduced the price from the One M from 799€ to 599€ with the introduction of the MAX.

Genevo always had a versatile product line (Eco, One, One S, One S black edition) for similar hardware, which will be simplified according to their website. Testing will tell, but the MAX looks like a further improved One M:
- USB Type C
- Motion Sensor with gesture control
- Noise Sensor for automatic volume control
- Magnetic holder

According to this site, there will also be a higher level portable Genevo detector, called Genevo Alpha: https://12vpersonalcar.com/art/8499/genevo-estrena-su-nueva-gama-de-avisadores-y-detectores-de-radar
