Can an awful web review page of RD's use Vortex as a source?

As usual, an awful general review site, but uses Vortex Radar you tube as a source that doesnt quite jive with the rest of the page dialog. Is this a legit use of Vortex's real information (maybe without permission?)

It sucks that there are these shitty click farm affiliate link sites that spread bogus information and take advantage of the less informed. When I was looking for my first radar detector I almost listened to one of these sites until I stumbled upon RDF.

It definitely reinforces the importance that one must have a continual attitude of questioning why and how. If I come across a supposed informational website, I look to see if they give a breadth and depth to the technology and features; something deeper than simply arranging the features into a paragraph. This typically helps me take a step back and evaluate if the material I'm reading is sales biased or not.

If his channel allows external embedding, then nothing he can do to stop it.

Yeah there’s lots of sites like this. Public information is public and people can post videos up wherever so long as embedding is enabled. YouTube doesn’t give me any control on which sites can embed my content. Either way, it’s nice that they’re helping share my videos and I can only hope that it helps people become better educated about CM’s, regardless of which site happens to be posting my videos. :)

I believe you can issue them a "takedown notice" outside of youtube if the way they are using your content makes it appear like you are a paid sponsor or is taken out of context. Linus from from the "Linus Tech Tips" youtube channel recently talked about how he has had to do this a few times in one of his recent videos, I'll see if I can dig up the video and timestamp for you.

I think its flattering that someone else uses your info however, it wasn't cool that he didn't list you as one of his sources.

His legitimacy is destroyed by what made him pick the V1 as top pick. It has cute mickey mouse ears, has better build quality, and a nice design.
Well, he narrowed down what's most important in an RD...looks and feel.
