I mis-spoke. I confirmed with our software team that laser falsing was addressed in this latest firmware which adds Multaradar.

Update your detector and let us know if you notice a difference.
i was going to send you a PM thanking you for the responses, but it looks as if that feature has been disabled. Anyway, thank you for the updates and information.

Drove just shy of 300 miles today on the new firmware (MA, RI, CT):

Zero laser false alerts (no sun out though, but almost all drivers had their headlights on)

I had 2 quick BSM alerts, but other than that it was silent (except random X alerts as I have on just to 'keep and eye on it'.

I received a 'Live Ka' alert at just over 6k ft that froze on the screen. The distance did not reduce once the alert appeared on the screen. It stayed active on the screen for about 2 minutes then suddenly went away with no warning. I swapped VVaze for EL to see where the alert was after it cleared and it was not on the highway, but on a side street.

So far so good...

I’m going to wait to see if I can get a 2nd one to try it against.

I really think it’s FW.

If your willing, check one out in your lab, make sure it’s in perfect working order, and send it to me so I can eliminate the FW aspect of it.

I don’t want to keep it, but would like to compare it before it gets sent in. It’s a $1000.00 detector.

Your companies track record of timely and competent repairs with me is lacking. Being a international customer, it costs me $21.00 every time I send it to you.

The Redline EX is my example. December 2018 check FR message repair turned into the detector being sent in 3 or 4 times because of issues that I found as soon as it arrived bench testing. One lost detector mailed to the wrong address that I had to look for myself, and the whole issue wasn’t resolved till April or May 2019?

I’ll have to find the link to that subject. It’s well documented here.

So, either you can send me a verified detector to test if it’s a FW or HW issue, or I’ll get a 2nd one from someone else before I go through another $80.00/$90.00 out of my own pocket.
I don’t own an Escort product but this would be a huge negative for me and a common response to an issue is send it in...

You know, other manufactures have actually done this for me. They want to know.

The invitation is open to Escort to get a hold of me and see if we can make this better.

I think I'm about finished dailying my 360 for now. In summary, with MRCD on a few (or more) falses daily that don't bother me that much. But I definitely wish they would use another tone besides Ka for it. That is a bit annoying, and IMO not good for people who actually face MRCD, as they have to look at the detector to determine if its a Ka alert or MRCD. The MRCD announcement might come too late given what @Heywood has shown of the 360C's MRCD detection ability.

I thought I had a lock up last night, but it was really weird. It started into its one beep droning, but then somehow managed to pull itself out of it and started working normally again after what was probably a minute or less. I've never seen it do that before.

No laser falses at all since updating to 1.12. I guess I ought to try shooting it with my laser tester just to make sure it still works...lol.

I suppose I should turn MRCD off and try driving with it for a bit.

Yea, let us know how it does with MRCD off. Thanks for being the lab rat. :)

I had the exact same thing happen today to me this morning. There is a very weak X-band alert I pick up 50% of the time but usually just one chirp then gone. This morning I picked it up and it continued for about a minute at the 1st alert bar then somehow cleared itself out. Very strange. There does seem to still be something odd happening here and it is not just on K band either.

Recently pulled out my 360 to re-familIarize myself with it since a friend got a 360C and was asking me some general questions. I updated to this firmware and I got a lockup on 35.5. Stayed at 2 bars even when passing the LEO then I went back around looking for a second one in case I just wasn’t getting closer to him and it was still alerting with no other LEO in sight. About 5 minutes of that and I finally pulled the plug out and put it back in and it booted and began running normally again, not alerting anymore to anything in the area. Haven’t had enough time to determine if there’s any sleeping yet

I had the same thing as @ShadowTrooper yesterday as well with the 360C. Again.

Just like the video I posted before. A 1 bar Ka alert that went on and on until I pulled the power and re-booted.

At least this time I got a beep every 3 seconds, like what @Brainstorm69 reported this time. Not total silence like the first video I posted.
Still 5 minutes of this is annoying till you power cycle it.

It seems it’s only at the beginning of the trip for me.

I’m glad that it’s not only me seeing this odd behaviour on both 360 and 360C since the latest FW release

I updated on Thursday. A bunch of my settings were reset. X was turned back on. Overspeed alert settings were reset to the speed limit. Display color set to blue. Shifter was on. Had to go back to Spec FR1. So far, lockouts are still there. I've had one MRCD false during a 35.5 alert. I don't see MRCD, but I wanted to enable it to get a feel for the alert. I've had laser falses with the last firmware, so I will keep a close eye on whether or not that problem is still around.

I ordered a new 360c while on sale (With M1). We will see what version comes on it. Will monitor it’s performance.

Since I have had NO issues with any of mine, thought I would see how a brand new one does. It might have a bug. Or not. If needed, will drop it off at Escort HQ front area for exchange or immediate testing. Maybe Larry would pop out and say hi. it shipped. Soon I will have two connected devices to access three vehicles with mobile hot spots. Will sell the 360 O.

Since I have had NO issues with any of mine, thought I would increase the odds of finding bugs. If needed, will drop it off at Escort HQ front area for exchange or immediate testing. Hand deliver to Larry direct (assuming he would come out to say hi). Otherwise, assuming it works well, I now have two connected devices to access three vehicles thst have mobile hot spots. Will sell the 360 O.
How much are you looking for the 360 o ?

PM me. Don’t have a price yet. It will be fair Plus may not have the box it came in. Need to look for it. It is in perfect shape, and no issues. I won’t sell until the new 360c proves faithful.

I had my first laser false with the new fw today. It was sunny and the detector was pointing directly into the setting sun. Haven't had any other laser falses. Haven't had a confirmed lock-up although I did have one weird almost lockup. As mentioned previously, I'm not aware of any instances of sleeping. So all in all, it's been ok for me as far as Escort fw releases go, but I don't have any MRCD around me to test its MRCD capabilities. Again, I haven't been using EL nor have I been using auto-lockouts. So don't know if those things would cause issues.

This will be my last report until I do some actual range testing with this latest fw. Time for me to start running the R7 again with the latest beta fw release.

Any new firmware updates on the horizon??? I'm running my Redline Ex until something comes out to adress all the issues my 360c is now having since the last update....

How has this update treated everyone? I still haven't updated as I'm waiting on feedback from others.

I only tested it for a couple of weeks, but it seemed ok to me, as long as you don't really need the MRCD detection. It's not that great at MRCD (ask @Heywood) and does introduce MRCD falsing. Laser falsing did seem to be improved.
