MAX 360 v1.12 firmware has been released for units with serial numbers beginning with 79.

-and-

MAX 360 v1.9 firmware has been released for units with serial numbers beginning with 85.

What’s new in MAX 360 firmware version 1.12/1.9:
- Adds MultaRadar CD detection. MultaRadar CD is a form of photo radar used in Canada. MultaRadar CD detection is off by default.
- Resolved excessive laser alerts.

To update MAX 360 firmware using Detector Tools Pro and Detector Tools for Apple Mac computers (a USB/USB Mini B cable is required):
- Go to the Update Your Device website on EscortRadar.com and download Detector Tools Pro
https://www.escortradar.com/pages/update-your-device
- Using a USB/USB Mini B cable, connect MAX 360 to computer. Do not plug in the power cord when updating software.
- After connecting MAX 360, the serial number will display in Detector Tools Pro.
- Click the bottom green button to update firmware.
- A prompt will display when the installation has finished.
- Your MAX 360 is now up to date with the latest firmware!

To enable MultaRadar CD detection:
Using the MAX 360 Menu:
Open the Menu by holding the BRT and SEN buttons
Repeatedly press BRT until you see Band Enables
Repeatedly press SEN until you see MultaRadar
Press + or – to turn on MultaRadar
To exit the Menu, press the power button or do not press any buttons for a couple seconds

Using the Escort Live app:
With MAX 360 in range and paired to your smartphone, open the Escort Live app
Enter the Escort Live menu
Select Settings
Select Radar Settings
Scroll down to Band Settings and toggle MultaRadar CD on
The change takes effect immediately

Great to see you guys continuing to support the 360 to the same extent as you do the 360c! Keep it up!

What do you need updated @Alexandero ? Maybe tag the escort rep with a few suggestions, you never know.
To be honest probably nothing, i have admittedly yet to come across a lockout or sleepout yet on my international version (hope this doesnt jinx me)

Maybe just an update for the sake of an update, but then again maybe no updates are a good thing

So if your in the USA this update doesn't change anything but the number from 1.8 to 1.9 or 1.11 to 1.12. The mrcd is useless for us and this update doesn't add stability. This update should've been held till something worth updating was put in the firmware. :(

MRCD is used in areas of the US, so it's not exactly "useless".

Where at? I don't understand this update. This update is useful for the areas that use the parked speed monitoring trucks. Far as we know there is none actually being used in the USA. I'm in Chicago where we have speed cameras and red light cameras.

How does this update benefit anything that we didnt have already? This thing already alerts to the camera and speed cameras with the defender database so what's new that it adds? If you enable the new setting then your just opening yourself up to more falses in the USA for no reason.

It's been said many times on here that it's showimg up more and more, new york, maryland, and chicago. If you're able to pick them up off the defender database, great, then don't enable it and take the additional falses. But for those that need it, would be nice to have. You'd think it's a good thing they added mrcd support rather than force those who do to buy a new detector. So you complain when they actually add a feature?

Would this be coming to the max 2 eventually? I wouldn't update it until it's confirmed it doesn't cause problems, lockups on the 360s. No desire to set foot in il except for 6 flags, was at a concert in chicago 2 years ago with my x70, standstill traffic on the way there, impossible to speed. Cruised a little bit on the way back but no tickets in the mail, just got to give the fibs a bunch of toll money

i don't have an arsenal of detectors, so if they update the max2 I'll have to wait for others to be the guinea pigs. Wouldn't want to brick my what i think is the best unit out for me at the moment

Good luck, hopefully it'll be good for you. Be cool to know how it handles it and what it does to falses

I'm just doing it because it is part of my arsenal of detectors and I don't daily it. Just use it for testing mainly. I thought I'd try it out even though we don't have any MRCD around here. But I thought I could at least see if it falses or screws anything else up before those that need it do something they might regret.

Maybe after running it a bit I'll send it to @Heywood and let him test it against real MRCD.

That would be awesome.

I hope the new FW works. You’ll have the best idea if your noticing anything strange with the new one.

Leave MRCD on and drive around a bit. Check out a couple of door openers with it. Myself and another member have seen it MRCD false to a few.

I had one do it Thursday. 1 bar @ 24.125. I’m pretty sure I can recreate it on demand.

I’m getting live radar alerts all over the place even though I’m not connected to my phone with either Wifi or Bluetooth.

Any ideas of why this might be a “Thing?”

The only thing in the detector or settings allowed are RLC’s.
