TMG sent a pic of the VPR CPU. Samples have not shipped yet.

Thanks for posting. Besides the change in ports, are there any other changes? Processor? Ability to wire a remote kill switch the put the unit in receive mode? Just curious.

I'm hoping for the *same* ability to wire a remote receive mode button that we have now. ;)

Haha, it would be nice to having something that was a little more plug and play. Playing with a soldering gun is a skill set that I am rather unpolished with. ;)

Looking forward to this.

Curious they didn't change the model number when adding the VPR ports/capability. Could lead to confusion down the road. "I have a A-15." With or without VPR?

Speaker any louder?
I don't get why people complain about this. I don't even run mine at Max volume.

I do frequently listen to music at high volumes but that usually coincides with having a phone in the car- thus I'd be running jbv1 for bt audio alerts. Even then I think the CPU itself is still pretty loud. I have very minimal road noise in my car compared to most but I don't think that's a big factor...

Just my 2 cents

For people that run it under the dash or in the glove box like myself

It is through TMG remote or JBV1
Is there going to be an external remote for sale?

No. The only remote option is TMG Remote or JBV1.
