Hi, I'm awaiting my delivery of my Uniden R7 to come. Someone in another post suggested that I look at this app and another one. My question is, can I connect the Uniden to this app? I've seen mostly V1's and wasn't sure.

Also, is there a set up post here for it?

Thanks!

The R7 won’t pair with the app. Check out these settings:

Take a look at Vortex Radar on youtube or on Vortexradar.com and he shows you how to set it up from beginning to end. I'm new with this myself and I watch all of his videos. He reviews every new radar detector and explains it in detail so you can understand it.

That doesn’t mean you cannot run Waze or JBV1 or Highway Radar separate. Just that they won’t connect to the R7 (nothing connects with the R7).
Thanks!
Good to know

Check out the Max 360/c they offer apps.
I was on the fence between the max 360/c and the Uniden R7.. I wanted the extended range, due to most of my driving is on country type roads and not much highway. But I still have to see when I do get it, how it will preform. It wasn't a must to have an app to connect it to, but I also didn't want to have to pay for a subscription to the escort live app.

You bought the wrong detector.
Sorry to disappoint you. I came from a 9500ix, over the years, their customer service went down hill. I also wanted to try something with father range.
I haven't received my R7 yet, but I'll test it out asks if it don't work well, I may try the max 360. But I'll have to wait and see..

There's going to be a lot of eggy faces if Theia doesn't turn out to be Gods gift to speeders.

Sorry for off topic but you started it, if Theia only does a tenth of what has been mentioned, it will make ALL other Frequency Detectors obsolete. Currently there are no real Radar Detectors on the market, everything currently "called" a radar detector is actually only a specialized Frequency Detector as not a single one of them is designed to detect only Police Radar! Theia right out of the gate eliminates BSM which is a winner for any speeder that has to leave K Band enabled! Since BSM doesn't have to be "Filtered" out, the LNAs can be peaked to squeeze every single inch of range and sensitivity out of the receiver without any worry of increasing false alerts!

I disagree. It'll be a better RD is all. All the ones before it will continue working. Anyway, please move other RD discussions to another section.

Exactly. This is a JBV1 forum. We don't want it f**ked up like the V1 forum.
