New truck, new system, new question...

In my previous 2011 Dodge 2500 (with the huge chrome front end), I installed a LI HP quad system and was pretty happy with the set up - as in zero speeding tickets with plenty of hits.

I just purchased a new Dodge 2500 and researching what's new in the jammer world.

I'm thinking of running the Escort ZR5 system in the front of my truck, but wanted to see if adding the two optional rear Shiftermax sensors to the front - so I would have four heads up front (I'm assuming better protection) would work?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

From my limited testing of that system, you are going to need 4 heads up front with Escort. 2 heads with ALP, add TX if Dragons are in your driving area.

In my opinion if you go against the Dragon regularly ALP is the one to get. No constant Dragons, then TMG. Personally I would only put the Escort on any of my vehicles when two absolute cases were met 1) it was free 2) the vehicle wasn't my daily driver; both of those would have to be met for me to install anything other then ALP or TMG (exception would be Stinger but I am never going to get one of those for free!).

+1 on ALP for future proofing and TMG right after. TMG is going out with VPR heads to combat the dragon so those heads can always be added on later as with the TX heads for the ALP.

I saw you are in So Cal so you will be good with TMGs since they use LTI lidar guns. Might need three front and two rear

Your original question was, would it work. Short answer is yes, your plan should work.
When you look at price, performance, and features, you might want to consider other options as others have mentioned. I have a dual ZW5 setup on one of the cars, and the lack of auto kill and gun ID is frustrating. The price of additional heads are rather absurd when comparing with competing systems (on the ZW5 its an non-issue as you can only run 2 heads).

Good luck, have fun and let us know what you decided.

Just pulled the trigger on the ALP system with the optional TX sensor. Also ordered the Flic bluetooth button - seems like a clean way to control the JTK.

Just read up on the Flic button/hub. How would this work with the ALP/how does one configure it? (Trying to see if there is an application here for the TMG as well). :)

JBV1 controls the TMG System if you have an Android device.

Thanks. Primary is iOS. Plus I like physical/tactile buttons when I am driving.
JBV1 is very impressive from what I have seen.

Unfortunately, the flic is only currently active with the ALPConnect Android version. It is great to JTK though!

Opinions?

Just wondering, am I better off with three regular sensors up front (living in California) due to how large the front end of the truck is, or will two sensors plus the TX head get the job done?
