So are all these patents leading anywhere that’s the big question.

Nobody knows.

But what we do know is there is a thread for that right over here:

If VR isn't simultaneously working on a kick-ass fix for BSM's, then who even cares?
Right, Im in agreement. Mike could create a detector with increased range that detects from here to China and have a great third party app but what good is any of that ultimately in a BSM landscape that is increasing by the year and if another competitor completely solves the BSM issues and has the same great third party app?

Since this IS the patent thread I will try to do this tactfully, NONE of the Valentine Research pending or recently approved patents address BSM.

Now for the off topic part and hopefully for the last time: it is IMPOSSIBLE to fix BSM issues with firmware or even hardware with today’s Frequency Detection based radar detectors without huge sacrifices that then create their own set of problems such as vastly reduced range or seriously delayed Alert times IE the possible solutions would make it a Ticket Detector not a ticket saver! IE it would be quiet to the point of being to late except for the most obvious CO K & Ka Alerts!

Only real solutions to BSM is to stop Frequency Detection based RDs by moving to actual Police Radar Signal Detection!

Edit Note: the Thread Title says it all, “High Probability of Intercept Radar Detector” concerning Valentine Research patents. I am starting a BSM thread in General RD.

And since it appears radenso owns that idea, it looks to me like VR's best days are well behind them regardless of the cool patents that are slowly getting buttoned up. I mean why even bother at this point? The internet will fortify the demise of all 'frequency detectors' within a year of Theia being on the market.

I personally think there isn't unless VR does pull it off well. As the AI tech in theia reaches more budget Radenso models it'll basically make all legacy RDs seem like cobras.

Bad news for other RD companies in the near future. BUT potentially good for the user: it forces companies to respond or die trying. If they can't hang it only allows for another newcomer to rise to the challenge!

There will always be someone willing to purchase a box that beeps at frequencies and has arrows, but if newer tech that's better is out there I don't think anyone in the know would prefer legacy tech.

So can you tell me what problem Application: 15/486,873 is solving? I assumed it was the BSM issue. The abstract reads:

The application is attached below.

Well it looks like nothing has changed. But more points in the "New V1" bucket which is a good thing and what i expect. I look forward to buying my last real RD when its released.

Presumptuous, if not delusional. Perhaps you should talk to the JBV1 creator as to whether he will work with Radenso.

Just popping in to say I have no respect for MV and he deserves whatever happens to his company because he completely failed but hey should we take this as a lesson on his conservatism?

And AI use in low cost IOT devices will be reached for cyber security purposes. Your theory is sound. Costs will go down. Has to. This is one of the reasons why Broadcom bought Symantec. Certainly not for their fading legacy security systems. They had something going behind the scenes Broadcom wants. Broadcom, I think, is making a play for embedded AI/AI learning in the field (plus cloud pushed learning) cyber security dominance in billions of IOT (and ”in the network” ingestion points) devices. You heard it here first. ER, and now Radenso were the first to use (in mass, in wild) FPGA (and follow on) chips combined with local machine learning (sort of ER), and local run, central cloud teacher (Radenso) AI (on portable small devices).

Talks with Radenso? From what I've heard him say, he'd consider it on certain conditions.
Whether they will/can be met is far from certain.
His focus is on V1, because that is his preferred detector.
The way some people jump to conclusions on the slimmest "evidence" on here would qualify them for the Olympics.

I called in a few days ago and got the same thing about waiting on parts and missed shipping deadlines. When I said I have a 3.8945 and was wondering if the parts are for an improved version of the detector, they said the parts are for the existing detector, not for one with some updates and changes. I know we’ve heard them say a variety of things over the months and who knows what’s true, but just another data point FWIW.
Thanks for the update.

No matter what Mike does at this point, Theia is going to change the game and the rest is a rap.:hatsoff:
