I’m thinking about picking up a Bushnell to test with and learn about, but I see they have a few different models online. Is there any specific model that is generally recommended or are they all the same internally? It seems like most use the Velocity but is there any reason to use a Speedster 2 or 3? Thanks!!!

If you're thinking about picking one up new, you might want to see if you can get a Ka gun on here for the same price as a new Bushnell or less. More usability and variety to choose from. Just a thought.

I wonder if the Max series filters out all Bushnell's, or just some models?
You wouldn't happen to be using a Bushnell gun to test for sleeping would you? If so, MAX 360c is filtering it out as a non-police radar source. This applies to all MAX detectors.

I have 2 Velocity Bushnell’s.
If it’s good enough for the Mexican police forces, it’s good enough for me.
Hilarious!

And thanks @spongebobradarpants for the heads up about the KA options here. I think I want to stick with a K gun to start with since I’m running an R3 and most of the firmware and settings changes are k band related.

Not buying it.
I have an original First series Max detector and it has no issues with the Bushnell’s.

As for their excuse? It doesn’t sound right.
As for it mentioned elsewhere. Why filter Bushnell’s but not BSM or door openers. Like they can be that exact??? Does that even sound logical???

Sounds like stupidity when you don’t have a real answer. Typical Escort logic right there folks.

“We’ve cracked the long time problem of rogue Bushnell’s traveling on the highways setting our detectors off”

Rejoice and be thankful.

My Bushnell Velocity frequency registers as 24.124 which is an exact match for one of 2 K band RCMP in my area I have logged.
Can't ask for a better match to test K for me.

You can actually adjust it as well if you’d like. Something like when I did the lockout test by adjusting the frequency?

You can do that on a Bushnell as well and do the same test. Hiddencam posted a pictorial how to do it.

24.124 sounds like the low powered Raptor or an older Falcon HR.

I'm wondering if some MAX variables may be at play here on the Bushnell phenomena.

For example, might the latest IVT update have some effect vs prior firmware? Might having TSR enabled have some effect? Might having Auto vs Highway have some effect? Maybe a combination of some or any of these may have an effect?

I've noticed that K filtering on the various MAX products appear to be what I'd call non-linear and more what has been referred to as fuzzy logic or secret sauce. The MAX K filtering does not appear to be black/white/yes/no but seems to depend on various circumstances, perhaps even other emitters in the area (including on your car). I've never been able to pinpoint exactly how or when the filters kick in and this may (or may not) be affecting the various Bushnell reports.
