Time for another Theia video! @Jon at Radenso and I sat down to go over many of the questions you’ve had and I’ve had. :)

From a marketing and technology standpoint, this isn't a radar detector; it's a radar discriminator.

I like how Jon was saying that he believes that it can detect Spectres.

So fast you won't have to segment. "QT is a joke for this architecture."

LOL... Performance Features as a bonus... Since ALP uses GPS we added lots of performance features as well but no one uses them. :(

This series of videos has been a lot of fun to watch so far. Even cooler than the product itself is how everyone seems to genuinely enjoy being a part of producing it and taking time to explain it to the rest of us.

Also, whoever did the graphics for the booth displays nailed it. IMO.

The only problem is the music from the other booth drowned out Jon when he gave the exact release date :p

Late to the party again. I was off grid for the last 5 days

Thanks vortex, John and the radenso team for bringing this to us

I got a question about Mrcd

Is the gun used for mrcd. It’s signature stronger, weaker , or the same as its frequency?

Will we see greater mrcd warning times due to classification vs filtering?

There was some talk about international etc. Will there be "separate versions" with "special firmware" and often with a heftier price tag? Asking on behalf of the AU/NZ folk.

It doesn't sound like it. 'One size fits all.'

Takeaways from the video for me:

-Customizable inherent operation: Whitelisting, blacklisting, legacy style.

-Sufficiently open API to do the above, plus mundane GUI stuff.

-Bluetooth, Wifi, USB-C for connections.

-Emphasis on the quality of the RF front end, to help with long term viability as threats morph.

Q not asked: what is the unit's display going to show, how large, pixel res, etc. Full dot matrix, hard arrows, etc. For those not wanting a phone interface and having no desire to flash mods.

Excellent Vortex, thank you.

Yes, all the UI talk definitely leads one to wonder if they are planning on a phone-like capacitive touch interface. I'm all for it. Existing RD interfaces really suck. But could be tough given the typical radar detector form factor. I guess it would have to be something pretty small.

Spectre immune and a RDDD!!!!
[I said this is another reply. But again...]

Can we all please contemplate this new reality. A potential RDDD? 1 week ago this would have been impossible nonsense from Mars.

International... WOW! :bravo: Shut up then and take my money too! :20bux::20bux::10bux::20bux: But there is inherent logic for this new AI technology to be usable internationally. Thank you, Vortex. You've been delivering to us so many answers and good news and useful info. Seems a new era is coming and I thought that things have been already boring. I've been mistaken. It will be interesting!

I use them although I am not sure of their accuracy as there's always a big disagreement between my vbox and ALP.
