Thanks for testing... Did not know you were testing the NR DSP. Not surprised with the R7 results because it did similar in some of our testing in the 300-400ft range. Not sure how they did not test during the design stages to have a chance to improve it. Once the hardware is finalized and in production I dont think there is anything they can do to improve it via operating firmware. R7 # 2 Seemed to do a bit better than the others. Was it an earlier or later build? (Higher Serial Number)

Any data on the R3 and spectre III ?
I have a Spectre III and my R3 was almost identical to my NR DSP in a few tests I did a while back... I am not sure if any recent firmware updates on either one has made any difference, I will have to retest sometime to see if anything has changed, but I really doubt they will be any different.

I had to dig through my archives to figure it out. R7 #2 was an early model.

Well, that goes against the conventional understanding that the newer R7's were supposed to be stealthier. Seems like Uniden needs to update their website to add "not Spectre immune" although they kind of deceitfully say "Spectre I and IV invisible". I'm not sure if there is a Spectre IV as I've only seen the IV Elites. Ever since VA started using Spectres 10 years ago, the only version they've purchased are the Elites. However, Spectre III's are still used in Canada and Australia.

@PY004, thanks for tests and ouch for anyone using an R7 in a banned area, especially in the above mentioned countries where the penalties are much higher than in VA. Also, I'm assuming "vehicle center" equates to same lane?

Wow. Those are some serious distances for the R7.
Great testing!
