I couldn't tell before. That's one coax cable with two sets of connectors. :)

If it is not Top Secret, what does the "Silver Switches" do on the Board of the Horns? Looks to be 3 of them. Like On/Off Toggle Switches.
That whole copper board is just for the demo. We wanted to display an exploded version of the components to emphasize the modular nature of what we've built. Two of those are power switches for different parts of the internals, one is a front/rear horn switch. The copper board is just a way for us to power the horn separately from the circuit board.

I look forward to purchasing your first "top tier" product, but I am also very glad that your modular design will allow you to bring the same platform to less expensive RDs in the future.

Interesting. Have you tested the horn with longer coax cable runs to the main board? Maybe a sign of how the coming remote system would work?

Why is the AI accelerator chip removed from the SoM? Are you not using it and running it all on the ARM? If so, why this particular SoM?

Given feedhorns, how much sensitivity is lost to dead on perpendicular off-axis sources?

Not just a Theia issue, obviously. All dual horn setups.

We don't need it (12ms inference time on the ARM because of how we optimized things) and it adds complexity. That AI chip doubles the cost of the SoM almost, plus is restricted to running certain models. However, in the future if something completely unexpected happens and we need to use a more complex model, the version of the SoM with the accelerator is pin-compatible the way we routed the traces motherboard sodimm slot.

Click.

We chose this som for many reasons that make it uniquely suited to what we are trying to do. Considered the PI, but it didn't have the hardware I needed.

In this better picture, we can see what the three switches in this prototype horn assembly do. :) Before anyone takes this and runs with it, I don't expect these switches to exist at all in the final version.
The upper switch appears unlabed
The center switch is labeled SW1
The lower switch is labeled SW2

It's also likely that they only had one horn energized at SEMA. It's hard to know if switch 2 is mounted backwards, or turned off.

All three appear to be connected to the positive power solder joint and we can probably surmise that each horn can be turned on or off. The third switch applies power to something. Not sure what.
Interesting stuff. :)

See Jon's post above for some of the info on switches.
