In regards to the R2 sensor fail error, I've noticed something. When modifying the configuration online, you'd highlight the sensors you have on the website before downloading. Once the cofig is applied, in stats its still showing R2 in the config. Is it possible it's a website config issue? Not correctly saving the setup chosen by the user, seeing as that's where the file is coming from?

I think choosing laser ports on the website is only for parking detection so you can select which Rx heads are activated in parking mode.
Doing a reset and memorize sensors will set which heads the CPU detects on which ports. A sensor fail message means that a previously memorized sensor is no longer detected and therefore not active. Could be the head itself, the cable or connection or even a fault on the CPU port.
I haven't followed this entire thread, but if you haven't already done so, try isolating the problem through elimination. Switch ports etc. To see if the error changes or not.

I updated, reset, reloaded with a new config file, and everything seems to work.

The only issue is that HiFi doesn't announce the connected sensors when I navigate to the "connected sensors" option in the control menu. Checking the stats via the BT app indicates that all 5 sensors are in fact connected.

Any ideas?

I have issues after this update + resetting.
Keeps saying R2 failed, lol, I don’t have a R2, also keep getting gps antenna disconnected.

All was fine prior to updating.
Try a Reflash
then system reset
then Reset system and Learn Sensors !!

Mine's fine except i cannot do any manual Lockouts on Android ((i have Autolearn enabled)). Is this Normal ??

Yeah, have done this. Prior to update all well. Reset, modified and still R2 fail.
Had something very strange happen in testing. Had a rear shot detected off 2 front rx, so there's something up there with the modify settings. Nothing plugged in for rear whatsoever. F1 & F2 only used.

Very odd. Perhaps dirt or corrosion in R2?

Bump.

I'm worried that the ALP hasn't actually memorized the sensors after resetting and that they won't fire since I'm not hearing the HiFi announce "F1, F2, R1, etc...) I've tried resetting multiple times and there's no difference.

As a last resort, I would try disconnecting power from the ALP control box, wait a minute and then reconnect. Then reinstall the latest firmware via USB key, then reset and memorize sensors. If that doesn't correct the problem then it sounds like a failed control box.

Any way to roll back the update and check/compare how it reacts?

I came back from vacation two weeks later and it magically started reporting all the connected sensors again... Just in time, too, because I got hit TruSpeed a couple days later. Remember to clean the salt off your sensors in winter, folks!
