I have received many calls, emails and texts of concern with the upcoming TMG VPR head & Cpu,and if it will require Gps. The answer is NO, the VPR head nor the Cpu will not have GPS. The VPR heads will require its own short single cable plugged into one of the two VPR ports of the new Cpu. The head will also defend on other VPR guns, not just limited to Dragoneye (Just found out). The lense will be a newly re-designed flat lense.

Sounds pretty slick. I’m guessing size will be smaller than a normal head too?
And to clarify, are you saying the VPR head is redesigned to be flat or that there will be a new G3 head that will be flat?

I think a major improvement of this VPR head, if it works as we hope, will be for rear installs. With the current configuration front installs seem real world solid but the rears should benefit from this upgrade.

Tell you guys what, if it works any better than my G2 duals, it will be amazing! I can see how they could help out in the back though.

I guess you won't know though...Because they won't work with your current CPU...HA HA
HA HA Hell! No kidding? I don't need the VPR head or the new CPU because I'm already JTG against everything we threw at it with the newest firmware and the G2 heads. If I did however so what, I'd just buy the new CPU, trade in my CPU and roll with it!

Also, will the VPR head improve performance against off-axis (ie: overpass) shots against VPR and non VPR lidars?

TMG has been shooting off overpasses in Taiwan.
With the GII, VPR heads, or both? Likewise, noticeable improvements? Legit questions, (no agendas) and I'm hoping that's a yes.

G2 heads & Vpr head. JTG from our arsenal. The test samples will tell all.
