I hear ya.
I have different models from every manufacture but Valentine. I doesn’t work for me against my biggest threat MRCD. It’s just an expensive door stop.

Probably best if you want a V1 to just wait and see. There isn’t one best detector for everyone. Maybe they’ll start making them again. It’s only been 7 months now.

And, it's not the first time they've been out of stock for an extended length of time. Patents are approved now, etc.

I am not questioning that he might know stuff about detectors. He doesn’t know anything about my decision process and made the horrible assumption that I some sort of complete dumba$$.

The start of your post is a big part of why the 360 isn’t a good choice for me - it has WiFi for a weak app and updates. How hard would it be to make a JBV1 style app? Also, what is the subscription doing for anyone? Seriously.

The other big reason the 360 is low on my list, the 360 isn’t popular at all with any local car clubs or the track drivers or the drag strip drivers. All of whom drive for fun on the same local roads I drive. The V1 is super popular. The R3 is the cheap go to for rural and big interstate weekend driving. Only a few R7s out there but that unit appears to be the superpowered R3.

Also, two Porsche club friends have V1s. As far as just messing with the app and tweaking, they think that part is fun - on top of not having any tickets. I should have gone with a Porsche. I think my AMG is holding me back. There is no club for me.

For now, I’ll drive how I have driven for 30+ years and hopefully my ticket-free streak will continue.
Only a Porsche owner would assume incorrectly, and be snow flaked, that I EVER inferred your were a dumba$$. Not true. I was impressed with your communication, and impression you were seeking advice to validate doing nothing for now, or adding something else until the next big thing comes out.

If you want to restore this conversation, I am open to that. Otherwise, have a good life with your click and current RD.

I like the Escort 360c and 360 max units because they both perform great, minimum BSM falsing and superior internal electronics inside ( see @SquirrelMaster 360c review) (GreatReview)
The 360c internal components take this detector to a “futuristic level” that won’t be outdated anytime soon unlike other RD products on this forum that “work Ok” but have the electronics of a detector that will be outdated as soon as you buy it.
The 360 series could have a few Quirks at times (due to building a very complex detector) but the superior electronics incorporated inside this detector suggest that it will always be capable of receiving firmware updates that will bring it to a close to perfect detector status. ( if you look closely at what Radenso is “dreaming “ about at sema then you will see that that the internals look very close to what Escort is selling today.

Heres my 2 cents on the 360c as an owner. Yes as a P&P its great right out of the box. I think of that as a plus, but whatever. It is connected to my optional 4" Apple mini and has a sophisticated menu with options out the yang to fine-tune for your area. It is not only for basic settings but rather tunable for more technically advance situations. I have an R3 and its a great detector but not near as sophisticated as my 360c. So I recommend the 360c as a viable contender in this market.

Amazing how a detector with futuristic level of tech isnt leading in the range category. but you cant ignore the freezing issue or dismiss it as a quirk.... its a major flaw.

The Uniden R7 is available and has great situational awareness. Given your current absence of MRCD/MRCT, I would recommend that for it's great range and features yet to come.
