Hi everyone. I just picked up the R3 and have been trying to figure out it's optimal configuration for Toronto, Ontario. I have used the settings posted from KPMH website but noticed that they are from well over a year ago.

I have installed the latest firmware and just want to know if anyone with experience/knowledge could recommended how I should configure my unit?

Thx in advance!

Not related to your question and not wanting to spam your thead but you are just the guy I have been wanting to talk to: We travel to Ontario to see our kids and grandsons and I have always removed my radar detector before entering Ontario. I know they are fine in Alberta but thought they were (wrongly so) illegal in Ontario. What happens if you get pulled over and have one?

Just out of curiosity, how did you come up with this config?

Just from using the detector over several months. I like my detector to stay mostly quite until there’s a real threat present. I found that having K band higher than 60% resulted in a high amount of false alerts, due to the sensitivity of the detector. For me, 60% provides a great combination of performance with overall reduced falsing.

Play around with the settings to determine what best suits your needs :)

Question about KA SEGMENTATION. I noticed that your setting is different from KMPH.CA site. I have attached their recommendations. Can you kindly look over that portion and tell me why yours is different?

Segmentation speeds up cycle times I think ... and why would you have red light camera off ? KMPH I think are pretty accurate and Ka exists in Ontario.
