Crested the hill and found a local LEO running C/O 35.498 head on with me. Pretty interesting as he was completely obstructed by the tree removal truck. Couldn't have had much of a kill zone.

Also, while not easy to see in the video, it was clear in person that the gun on the dash was a Golden Eagle. I've only previously seen Genesis II units in their cruisers.

Kill zone? Wasn't that the officer outside of his car directing traffic? He probably just left the radar constant on to slow down any radar detector using vehicles before they got to the dangerous one lane situation.
Yeah, that's what is called a Care Bear. They're basically watching to make sure people are driving safe around workers outside of their vehicles.

Still, nice catch by the Uniden.

Yeah I know there's no actual "kill zone" per se, as he was out of the car directing traffic. I was just contemplating metaphorically at what range the unit would even be able to acquire a speed in that circumstance, with the truck blocking it and all.

Not exactly what I expected from the title but I’ll still go ahead and say it: FWIW my Golden Eagle can get some penetration through light foliage. I doubt he had any kill zone range though - even if he was running radar.
