not trolling. Just fun.

This is a test of the first of the month emergency two week broadcast system. If this were a real event, you would be instructed to go to VR web site, or listen to your local AM civil defense radio designated for your area....

This is a test. Stay tuned in two weeks for another test of the emergency two week VR broadcast system.

Is this a current mag? He is still advertising?

Kind of off topic but damn he has a punchable face. I mean I wouldn't be surprised to see him bringing pizza and beer to a house and seeing Chris Hansen walk in.

Yes. current and new in mail night I made the post. But, that was almost “two weeks” ago. :)

it is sad really. I don’t care if they prepaid for these ads almost a year in advance. It is just sad. They could figure out something. Maybe he could pull the extra boxes of G-Analyst out of his warehouse and sell them. :)

I think it's sad for those folks who recently bought V1 and have something go wrong with it. I mean does he still perform warranty service or are those folks who are still covered by warranty SOL?

Why would you run ads for a product that is and has been out of stock for a long time?! I guess he must have a contract. What a waste of money!

Must not have a problem with money, I’ve seen multiple announcements tying him as a financial sponsor to huge events in cinci, most recent being a couple weeks ago

They are doing warranty service if it's software related and no OOS hardware is needed. Spoke to one of the techs today.

Because he probably bought a discounted block of three years of full page ads is probably why. Sure he could change his ad copy as that is most likely not restricted on an ad buy of over a year, but why?

1) What would he change it to? "Valentine One back in stock soon!"

2) Maybe they really are waiting on parts and each month was under the impression they would have them and the V1 "would" be back in stock and available so again why change the ad.

3) Even if they have realized it isn't coming anytime soon again what would they change the ads that are already paid for to?

I mean, he could revise the ad to say "available in two weeks" and it would never go out of date... :shifty:

Wouldn't "Available next Month" be better, then when the new ad comes out the following month, it is again a month away instead of having people calling mid month after "Two Weeks" is up?

Unless we are staying with the Customer Service Rep mantra!

That is why I said 'he must have a contract' - and yes, any way you look at it.....it is a waste of money to have those ads run. I have to wonder if he is able to 'negotiate' with the publisher to 'hold' the ad for a few months until the product comes back in stock? I believe he has been with these publishers for years, one would think he has some wiggle room to when the ads, especially given an 'unforeseen' circumstance with the lack of parts.
