I have seen rear shots on beeline in West Palm Beach from county sheriff's... It's really obvious though as you drive past him parked on the shoulder, unmarked but still a blacked out charger should set off flags. My rear LIs caught a butt shot from him once (XLR), but I was still at psl as I knew he was there. Two folks have confirmed FHP rear shots on the turnpike northbound at the 595 interchange in ft lauderdale from the left entrance ramp (one got a ticket, other had rear heads and got a save) prolaser 3/4. And I have seen pictures of a rear trap on 95 south of Jacksonville(XLR). Adding some amount of rear protection isn't a bad idea, but rear shots are not super common yet, if you have good SA and are watching and checking entrance ramps you may do ok without. I had some LIs so I put them on the back of my car and they seem to do ok against what I run into. Even a single head would probably do ok against most fixed rate stuff... Dual would handle all but DE solidly.
