Maybe Im the only one, but my arrows are not reliable in any way whatsoever. Im on my second R7 because this was happening from the beginning. People were making me think Im crazy but Im not. The reason I got the R7 to replace my R3 was for the arrows. My R3 was already a monster but I wanted to know where the radar was coming from. Ive had the R7 since launch and the entire time Ive had it I have not had 100% reliability when it comes to the arrows. Am I the only one experiencing this?

This video was just this morning heading towards a speed sign that is reliable for the same type of detection every time. 80% of the time I only get "rear" arrows when I approach this speed sign.

I agree with you. The arrows really aren’t accurate. I think part of it again is due to the sensitivity of the R7, as the radar waves bounce around it seems like it confuses the R7 more than it should. I thought that by now Uniden would have issued an update to straighten the arrows out better. But Uniden hasn’t been around lately and has not done much of any fixes for the R7 except for a block. I’m actually waiting for the next Radenso release with arrows and i will move on from Uniden completely.

It's entirely possible that gaining the smooth V1 arrow experience takes a lot more development than most of us can imagine.

I'd sell the device if you don't trust it. That's sort of a no-brainer, IMO.

Definitely strange as there doesn't seem to be much for the signal to reflect off of from behind except the stray sign on the side of the road. But how does it do when you encounter LEOs? Still just rear indications even when they are clearly ahead of you? I do think that having the sensitivity that it does causes some arrow confusion problems for the R7. That said, mine are generally accurate. Mine just has problems at times at closer range with lots of things to reflect off of.

Uniden support left I think and I am not sure if there has been a new person to take over that account yet.
While not as active as they used to be, there are posts that pop up every now and then. IIRC, the new rep is Jenna.

Arrows aside, are you getting a lot longer detection from your R3 compared to the R7 on this speed sign? That seemed like a short detection to me, but speed signs can be flaky!

In my experience it has seemed more skiddish with direction on K band than Ka but could just be random.

How's your Ka arrow accuracy?

That sucks! That would get on my nerves as well! I ran @VariableWave 's R7 for a week or so and his arrows were spot on every time. This is strange. I've heard a lot of people complaining about this so looks like they would do a firmware update to fix this as well as calming down K band from the rear antenna or being able to turn it off completely in just the rear!

Bounces around like this sometimes. Another video I have to post from this morning is a k front that turns into a rear ka just sitting still. I get a lot of k that turns into ka.

Yeah, speaking of flaky speed signs, they just put up a temporary one in my neighborhood that my R7 doesn't appear to alert to at all. Very strange. Need to see if any of my detectors pick it up.

I feel like the detection range compared to my r3 is not as good.

Same here. Or possibly go back to V1 if they ever come back in stock or update the unit.

That's one thing about the R7 that I like.. The accuracy of the arrows. I guess I'm fortunate they work so well. Now, I do have mounted next to the rear view mirror, so the detector has a 365 degree view.

Wouldn't the detector technically have a 360 degree view anywhere it's mounted? Other than on the floor of course.
