So I had to travel 1000 kms for work, towing my travel trailer. Usually that is a free pass with LEOs as far as being targetted. I travel between 10 and 30 over when conditions or circumstances allow.
First video shows me surfing through the menu to double check my settings. Doing 10 over. Early on 1st 15 minutes of the trip. However I chose to do this right at the highest risk spot in our area. This is the third time this summer I hit this double lanes for the weight scale, each time there was 3 LEOs targetting,
This video was the first, I lost all the rest because I didn't lock that file or remove card in time.
Anyways, this shows #1 LEO, #2 was positioned the same at the other end of the divided highway.
#2 shot me as I approached, and again at the rear of the trailer.
Good thing I lost my video cause I lost my mouth motor control! I had spotted him and was right on PSL his entire stretch. Despaerate Do*che bags.
And right after that I got hit by the 3rd Leo, who roams back and forth I/O everyone the first 2 miss.
All in Yukons.

2nd video, watch out in BC. (Vernon)
Ka 34.826 (Seg 6)
This is the first RCMP outside of 2, 5, 8 and K Narrow that I have recorded. I always run 2,4,5,6,8
So they are running guns outside of our previously assumed tight compliance to frequencies.

Curious; how often does this menu stuff while driving happen?

When you are in the menu, what works or doesn't work?

My use makes me think the detector is disabled until exit menu. Works like that in false areas.
And I get those 6th sense feelings in spots like this so I can't resist the urge to check to see if the last time I messed with settings whether I returned to my preferred settings.
Habit I will now break.

(Heavy-sigh) <-because I don't want to start anything. If only the R7 had an app option that allowed these types of things if desired.

I mean no disrespect here at all DC Fluid. Just ideas.
Wouldn't be nice if you could just glance at a screen and see your settings any time you wish? No touching anything, it's already there ready to read.

Along with that, it's helpful to have settings change automatically at state/county/province borders and be able to see that and have it announced as well.

And, if you change settings manually, it's usually less than a second to turn one feature on or off, or load a new profile or sweeps.

Feel free to ignore me in this thread everyone. I'm not going to post again here unless someone asks me a direct question. :)

LOL
My preferred settings are all I run in western NA. Cover it all.
Except I play around a bit come Calgary and Edmonton for the extra treats they get.
I was nervous and OCD because I was using the R7 for wet weather testing the day before and had to change it up to use my radar source.
I change settings back and forth between motorcycle and truck, but that has more to do with display and sound preferences.
So don't you be starting something, it's just me!

Aw, ignoring you isn't any fun...lol. Yes, it would be nice to have an R7 app option that allowed all these types of things, just like it would be nice to have a V1 with R7 sensitivity. But at the moment, we have neither. :(

And FYI to all, the R7 will not alert when you are in the menu. So I'd pull over if I was worried about it and needed to change a menu setting. Or at least drive the PSL while doing it.
