Thanks for the input. I figure as time goes on more places will likely have dragon eye. Just hard to pass up this price point compared to ALPs
I have both and each has pros and cons but yes the cost difference is a good motivator! See what is used in your area for LIDAR, read some test results as suggested by others and plan accordingly! ;)

If your in Dragon Eye country you should probably go ALP with TX otherwise TMG should be enough! ;)
Not to shit on TMG
I can respect a new company to market trying to better their product but they also need to fix brand new stalkers that were updated and @tempnexus said an update hasn't happened in his words for a long time
I wish TMG luck with the gamut of guns out there

Temp was talking about the app not being updated, not the algos. The latest TMG algo tests well against the new R/XLR.

I see XLR flooding out Dragoneye in the next year or 2, but we will still work on it.

XLR/RLR was fixed with 8.06 algo as we proved in the Florida testing.

I was talking about the app not the algorithms, the app hasn't been updated in a while and I was wondering if there was something new or if that was it. Nothing against the TMG I was just making sure that I didn't miss an update i.e. some companies update apps outside of Android and apple stores and distribute them via internal apks since they don't want to pay for certs. That's all

Regarding the TMG app, the developer is hard to catch, because he is in the Tawainese Military. I do have another source. We really appreciate @johnboy00 for his incredible app work too.

I got two of the older heads in June for my first TMG system.
Then I waited cuz I was hearing about maybe new heads coming out so I did and got the new heads and just tested them last few weeks ago and in real world both front and back are solid in testing. So it's real hard for me to differentiate but I tested very well against dragon and stalker vpr
And new truspeed s both front and rear
I was wondering the same thing about the newer heads being a lot better but I asked Jag and he said he is still using his heads for over a year now and they're working great so I put the new heads he sent me in the rear and I left my front ones alone and they tested fine. Locked in with 3M tape I love it because now I know I don't have to adjust it anymore it already tested fine. Unless there is a problem with a laser going out then that 3M tape both on top and bottom is solid and won't move

That was an optional app that hadn't been updated in a bit. I'm reality, TMG has had at least three Algorithm updates (probably more) and one Controlware update in the last year. Speaking strictly about Stalker guns, 8.05 addressed almost all issues that were reported with Stalker and 8.06 closed up a lesser known issue. To the best of my knowledge, I've not seen any more Stalker issues reported since 8.06 was released. I still need to retest myself, however.

My question is?!! FROM WHOM?!!!

Ok now onto the serious topic:

Why the extra 3 head deal? Are the 3 heads necessary in order to combat the current threat? I have the 2 head deal on my 2010 Corolla, will I need a 3 head now in order to stay current?! Yes, I know it doesn't kill the Lizard, but I live in Houston TX now and it's full of Vipers (XLRs) so for Vipers do I need a 3 head now or is that just a promotion you all are running?!

I am kind of weary of the free 3rd head thingy for those who only got 2 since well it's either a one of the two things:
1) The 3rd head is now necessary with the new algorithms in order to defeat the XLR as promised originally with the dual head setup

2) The new 3rd Gen heads are coming up soon so we need to clear the inventory of the old heads.

Sorry for being blunt and honest.

well shit now I need to buy a laser tester (any cheap ones?) I am coming up to my one year warranty and I honestly don't know if they fire or not.
No, you don't need 3 heads to defeat XLR. I was the only one to truely JTG/JFG with my duals while @Stretch has triple front and pted 50ft. You're protected if you were able to jam XLR before. 3 heads is just better suited for something larger and supposedly helps with Dragoneye a tad.

You can fabricate your own tester for pretty cheap if you have a phone with a headphone jack. About $5-10 and some soldering and you can trigger TSS.

How do you guys compare these to an ALP system besides the cost being much better?
Tmg will jam everything perfectly except for XLR which needs good placement (get placement suggestions for your car) and Dragoneye (currently able to jam to about 400ft consistently and sometimes down to 200ft in my experience). So depending on where you live, TMG could be enough or, like in my case in Atlanta, a tad risky if you get a close encounter.

Within the year, TMG has had 22 algo updates, mostly were for beta testing, and 3 control firmwares.

@phantom
I run two up front two in the rear TMG and recently tested against the new dragon and stalker XLR and was Jam to gun on XLR both front and rear and on the front Jam to gun on the dragon and 100 ft on another run which is pretty much Jam to gun. That's with the two head set up.
I would say TMG has no issues against stalker guns in testing and in real world. I ran into RLR stalker recently jamming no problem.
TMG is very solid against the dragon as well. Best dragon reading from front was got me approaching at 102 ft. 30 yards. Jammed the entire course till was really sideways is how I even got tagged at 100ft. Freaking awesome customer service with up to date testing and updates. My system has already saved me enough times to have already paid for itself.

I've had no testing on the new fw for Dragoneye. @Transporter do we know who else around us needs testing??

Stalker isn't hard to jam but it probably requires a pretty good install to JTG/JFG. Dragoneye is even more critical but we already know it's limitations with Dragoneye are hardware/software based and not user based.

The issue with Dragoneye is when they decide to update. If they find a loophole in the TMG/ALP firmwares or weaknesses in hardware, they'll exploit it. And TMG is the weaker of the two systems... Maybe less of an issue for the general populis but in Dragoneye cities, it can be a pricy mistake.

Hey Temp if you are referring to the orginal app and the way we first updated algo’s and FW then yea it worked but was not that easy, however the new App is awesome, very quick and flawless.

For the new app are you wanting other features or?

I like the sound of the TMG but I fear the Edmonton Dragoneye. What does one do? Save the pennies for Christmas?
