Is there a way to have Ka display on the Pro M instead of a K band.

Example, I was driving by a known speed sign and was getting K band at a level 9. However, there was a cop very near (I could see him well before I passed the speed sign) and it didnt switch over to Ka until I passed the speed sign and was a level 4 I believe. He was off axis so I understand why it was a level 4, but why did a speed sign come in priority and can I change it

I believe the priority of the alerts follows Laser > MRCD = MRCT > Ka > K and X follows I believe.

It is as Nighthawk stated.

Could be the Leo didn’t turn his Ka Band until you got to that point. If you were close enough and only got a 4, it could’ve been the other antenna.

If it happens again, I’d look at sending it in for testing.

Had the K band signal completely fallen off before you got the Ka alert? If not, it probably acted as it should and the off-axis Ka wasn't detected until it alerted.

I actually had a similar experience with this with a MRCT false (going to turn it off the next time the Pro M goes on the windshield, since they are all stationary here, Thanks @Heywood ).

Was behind a Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 + model years, and I was falsing MRCT like crazy. LEO was turning onto the road in front of me with his front antenna on and I got a Ka detection, it displayed for a brief period and went back to the MRCT false. So there is band priority, but I think strength also plays a role.
